  1. i dont think they think that about gattis. if they were thinking about replacing harbaugh, they would likely turn to someone like matt campbell before gattis. i could be totally wrong and harbaugh could bolt for the pros, he'a a weird cat and could suddenly decide that's what he wants to do, but i honestly dont think he'd leave michigan in the lurch like that.
  2. i'm pretty sure michigan and harbaugh will talk (if they havent already) and they'll talk contract. he's got no agent, so there is no one to leak the the stuff to the press. money wont be an issue with michigan. if he wants to leave for the pros its because he wants to go back to the pros.
  3. michigan's class is third in the big ten. its a solid class. it is light years behind ohio state's class. and ohio state is likely to pick up even more 5* kids in the late recruiting period. michigan will get one if it lands connerly, which is a big if right now.
  4. both have some scots-irish roots. maybe that's what they mean. daniel boone , sam houston, strict religious presbyterian scots who migrated west from virginia once their indentured servant status ended and all the good tobacco growing lands were used up. moved into the frontier. kentucky, tennessee, north carolina, and eventually pushing on into texas. not sure how many made it as far as west texas, but there were some of them there.
  5. i'm pretty sure harbaugh and michigan respect each other enough that if he asked for a raise they would give it to him. and if he were thinking about leaving he would let them know.
  6. according to that wapo piece texas is the 10th largest economy in the world, i think they'd be ok. bigger than canada. california is a bigger economy than england now. holy schnikes.
  7. why'd they change it, i can't say, people just liked it better that waaaaayyyyyy....
  8. it's not laziness, it's imparting your current cultural hang ups on genderized language onto another culture who wants nothing to do with them.
  9. exactly. my extended family in mexico (amd in the us) laughs at the gringos and their latinx. there go you white people trying to tell everyone what's best for them again...
  10. red hogs would be pretty cool too.
  11. red hawks. they keep the "red" and play up the minority angle. win win for washington.
  12. get ready. you'll be seeing a lot of it once the nfl season ends. he'll always be tied to the bears and raiders. its a lazy media narrative that will drive clicks.
  13. michigan got a nice recruiting class, but it's not in the same area code as ohio state, bama, etc. if they can build on this season and get back to the playoffs, and organize their NIL money cannon, they can start to compete with the big boys on the recruiting field. until then we'll be looking at an occasional upset of ohio state and then a beat down at the hands of the sec's best as the best we can do.
  14. grant is also hurt. not sure what you can get for him now. that said, i've been all aboard the trade grant train for a long time. he's not doing anything for the pistons, really. and he's the best realistic trade asset they have. keeping him for "veteran leadership" is just dumb, imo.
  15. sewell and brown have been definite hits this year. the jury is still out on mcneill, levi, barnes, and melifonwu.
  16. boyle is a fine backup qb. doesnt cost a lot and has some upside.
  17. after seeing mobley play so well, i dont see why holmgren cant too.
  18. remember, this is a guy who quit on the raiders, recorded a call with his coach and then played it in an professionally produced internet post. and he STILL got hired after that. multiple times. and then faked his covid vax card, lied to his team and his coach about it. his coach said he bad a zero tolerance policy for brown. he STILL got brought back. we'll see. he may not come back this year, but he'll be somewhere next year if he wants to be.
  19. dont bet on it. brown is still a great player. someone will give him another shot. could be the bucs again.
  20. rams win. stafford came back to throw two tds.
  21. 5-1. bad goal from ned.
  22. and now its 4-1.
  23. zadina falls asleep and its 3-1
  24. none of late term rebuild holland's first round picks are panning out. rasmussen (a huge reach with necas sitting right there) svechnikov cholowski (passed on chychrun) zadina (over hughes) veleno not one star player among them. not one guy who projects as more than a third line player. yzerman has three drafts and the first two have produced two stars in the making and the third one is looking like the real deal too.
