with the game on the line and you need to make a play, the lions just dont have the players to do it. goff couldnt complete a ball to a wide open receiver, and oruwariye couldnt defend a pass on 3rd and long.

exactly. why the lions insist on not rushing the passer is beyond me. i get that they havent drafted or signed a real pass rusher in forever, but when they bring pressure on fields he is bad. but yet they dont. they sit back and try to cover.

as soon as they get any pressure on fields he just chucks it up to nobody.

did you watch fields play against cincy and cleveland? any qb in football can sit back and throw when you have zero pass rush. (and i take back what i said about the lions d line, lol.)

that's certainly possible considering joe burrow threw three interceptions against the bears. the bengals beat the jags by a late field goal, the vikings in ot after the vikings fumbled the game away, and a terrible steelers team without their two best defensive players. so when i say the lions can beat the bengals, its because the bengals suck.

i said the lions have a good shot at beating the bengals. i gave em a 60% chance. i think the bengals are bad. he thinks the lions are going 0-17.

well, its a detroit message board. ya gonna get some home town takes! the lions have a decent d line, a good o line (when theyre healthy), good running backs and a good tight end. thats it. worst back 7 in football. worst receivers in football. bad qb.
