good.
no offense to bobby ryan. he might be still good enough to play in the league (until he inevitably gets hurt again), but the wings need young players to play.
this game means as much to michigan as it does michigan state. this isnt 1970-2012 anymore.
if you want to live in "sports radio narrative land", then you can say "michigan always plays with a chip on its shoulder against state the year after they lose to state."
no team in the nfl has a decent back up qb. what would be the point? in the salary cap era, there are only so many resources to go around. you dont waste those on a guy who isnt going to play.
remember when the lions signed chase daniel to that ridiculous contract all because they wanted a "decent backup qb in case stafford got hurt"? how did that work out?
the good part about the game was that when they did throw the ball, it seemed like the lions were doing well in coverage. theilen had nothing all game. jefferson had some catches but osborne had nothing and the lions were getting what looked to be some coverage pressures.
and in case you're wondering, this iteration of the lions have now lost 9 straight.
long way to go to reach the bucs but, gosh darnit, with a little gumption these boys just might do it!
the jags have now lost 20 straight games and passed the lions, moving into second place on the all time "losses in a row" standings. they trail only the expansion bucs who once lost 24 straight.
the sun rises in the east, sets in the west, and tp thinks the lions coaches cant call plays.
your lack of getting on the refs has cost me in my tp drinking game two weeks in a row. my liver thanks you.
