if they trade anything of value - even marginal value - for vucevic or kuzma i'm out. at least lavine can be a second scorer for cade. and he's a fun player to watch on offense. vuc is 34, slow, a marginal shooter, plays no defense, and a malcontent. i'd rather have nic claxton. at least he plays defense. claxton-ausar-holland-cade-stewart. we'd lose every game 65-63.

is the real reason they've failed so badly is that he no longer has the same people surrounding him as he had in tampa? they brought all the old red wings back to be in management now and its quite possible that while they were great players, they arent very good at scouting.

there's a reason why lavine has been available for two years and no one has moved for him yet (not even the lakers!): that contract, health, and the league has gotten wiser to all counting stat players on bad teams (see drummond, andre). otoh, lavine can score in bunches and that's a skill teams still need despite the other baggage.

one of the sticking points on a potential lavine-ivey deal is that the bulls have no picks to trade. im not giving up ivey for lavine. lavine is a cancer. a selfish player who plays zero defense and thinks he's michael jordan. much of his game is based on his otherwordly athleticism and that is going to decrease as he gets older. ivey could be lavine-lite in a couple years. the bulls would have to give me at a #1 pick with that deal and they dont have one to give.
