I think the more important message here is do not agree to Autopay. EVER.

That's interesting.  I've found it much easier to cancel autopays than the other way - especially with cable.

both have anger mgmt issues but bobby knight was a bully.  he picked on people who had less authority than them and made them feel stupid so he could feel better about himself.

juwan has problems when he feels he or his team or his kids are being attacked/disrespected.

both involve controlling their emotions, but one (knight) is much worse than the other, imo.

that said, juwan was on his last legs after the wisconsin incident.  if there is another incident then he'll need to be disciplined or perhaps let go.  he cant be the head man of a college team and act like that.

It feels to me like Warde Manuel seems to love Juwan more than he loves Harbaugh.  I don't have any confidence he'll let him go.

I don't sweat the MBB team like I do the football team.  They have been good and now are struggling.

What i am hearing tonight about Juwan Howard's future should be interesting.

I fully admit I'm very fair weather when it comes to the basketball team.  I loved the Fab Five, & I thought Howard would be a better recruiter.  I wanted it to work bad & it isn't - so I've kinda lost interest.

Just wanted to add something here.

Specifically to arrows in Holmes' quiver.

The challenge is for Holmes to locate a Montez Sweat (1st round - 26th), Maxx Crosby (4th round - 106th overall), or Brian Burns (1st round - 16th) with one of his draft picks. He's taken a few shots at pass rushers, Pascal/ Hutchinson/ Houston/ Levi, etc...

We don't know the end result yet since some of these guys are too early in their career and are going through growing pains. Some more than others. A surprise riser/ performer could come out of their current ranks, even. Or he could find one of these guys in the 2024 draft, with a late 1st or 2nd, two 3rds... or a trade up to get his guy.

Chase Young is garbage. At least for the Lions. And no, I'm not interested in beating the 49'ers pick with a 2024 2nd to get him. IMO, It's a wasted draft pick if sent out in a trade for Young. Buddha is correct: If there was any guy to get, it was Sweat. But that costs a 1st rounder and a large salary commitment very (too?) early in the Lions rebuilding process. I was interested in Sweat. But if the Lions would rather hold onto all of their 2024 arrows...

I'm with djhutch, I'll trust Holmes to find his Montez Sweat AND Maxx Crosby pass-rushers in upcoming drafts. So yes... I want Holmes to have as many arrows in his quiver as possible as I think he will be successful in continuing to identify young talent in the draft that adds to future Lions success.

    My 2 cents.

Yep - Every GM, Holmes included, makes mistakes.  Reaches when, in hindsight, he shouldn't have - but I think by & large, I will trust his overall body of work - because I can see all of the decisions are made from the same mindset.  There's a plan in place.

Pricing a hand splint at CareLinc to find out it is $224 only to find the exact same device on Amazon for $21. Healthcare/insurance in this country is insane.

Insane is a good word for it.  Jeesh.

I'd venture that the most important people in the history of TV comedy are Lucille Ball, Norman Lear, and James Burrows.

I just made this up so I'm open to more suggestions.

Aaron Spelling probably has to be on that list.

    Garry Marshall maybe?  Carl Reiner?

chase young has done nothing eventful in san fran and is a free agent after this year.  not sure why youre so fascinated with him.

the real question is whether you would have traded a first round pick for sweat.

I know I would not have.  I like the young nucleus Holmes is building & I would not want to take away any arrows from his quiver.

cause i think he's a mercenary.  that's three transfers in three years.  the going gets tough and dante moore goes to get another bag.

the larger "ugh" is that it means theyre not going to get bryce underwood.  he'll take his bag from lsu.

Ahh....That makes sense, though I wonder if that won't be the rule rather than the exception more & more with NIL now.

  9. I try to be a realist when it comes to the Lions - We've all been burnt so many times - but I cannot for the life of me figure out why some people do nothing but bitch about this team.  The hyperbole is beyond ridiculous & the fact that when things are going well you hear CRICKETS .. 1 bad thing & they're the worst team in history. Why follow a team that makes you like this?  & if you like the team, for crying out loud SHOW IT ONCE!

Campbell Is right about turnovers.  That’s the difference.

The offensive side is easily solved by the leagues most  up and down OL doing their jobs consistently.  Goff with time doesn’t make mistakes.  Goff under constant pressure is a train wreck.   That is all dependent on this line stepping up and playing to the level they are accustomed.   This team may not win another game if the OL can’t figure it out.  At the same time, they may win them all if the guys up front can get the dominance back.

On defense,  they can’t sit around and wait for the other team to make a mistake.   They have to put them under pressure and force the issue.   They need to do a much better job of making the opposing offense uncomfortable and forcing them to work faster.

Agree - but it will be hard to do that unless they are healthy.  Vaitai is out for the season - Glasgow can spot him, but if Jonah Jackson goes down, there's not much there to fill in.

  11. Clothes sizes.  I will admit to having fallen off the wagon a bit on my health journey this year, but why is it you cannot depend on the tag on a piece of clothing.  Sometimes it's a Large, sometimes a 2X is almost tight.  & don't get me started on jeans!

The WORLD FAMOUS Ohio State Buckeyes. I didn't get Joel Klatt slobbering all over them either. We held the lead all day and both announcers acted like Ohio State was the superior team out there on the field.

I still think the whole "World Famous" thing is a ruse by Gus Johnson.  I don't think he would ever admit it, but I believe it's his way of getting a little dig in while staying true to his shtick.

i dont think the packers are "up and coming", i think goff played badly and the defense cant get any pressure.  turn the ball over and lose.

I don't think enough has been made of the Lions OL in that Thanksgiving game.  As good as we think they are, or should be, or could be - they provided little to no resistance.  Goff was under constant pressure.
