Where did I say the fans should cheer no matter what? Do you think they players are trying to lose? Once again, what would it accomplish? I guess if hearing the booing makes you feel better that is nice for you, I just don't see the point of doing it let alone making up a scenario in your head before the game where it should happen. Ya this ended up being a complete nothing of a transaction. They got both for absolutely nothing, so the price of trying out Kostin with the lineup was Yamamoto's buyout for $433k this season and $533k next season. Not a bad gamble but a shame Kostin didn't look good in Detroit.

Just clearing out Kostin's $2 million due next season (he has been a big disappointment in my eyes so it is fine with me, he seems like he thinks he's better than he is when he has the puck). Whether it is clearing space for now or the offseason who knows.

I certainly don't know much about the NBA and don't follow the Pistons closely because I am a fair weather fan....but from the outside looking in it seems like the Detroit front office seems more interested in doing favors for family members of people in their org than actually making good moves? The Bartelsteins are close with the Tellems and they seemed to be doing them two favors by cutting Muscala then signing Gibson. Between this and giving Buddy Boeheim a contract it seems like they are deeply unserious about being a good team? Am I crazy?

I think it is only a mater of time that the Wings sign Kane to an extension, the people that kept hinting that Detroit was going to inevitably sign Kane make it seem like he wants to be in Detroit to finish his career. The sense I get is that he wanted to be with the Wings for a bit and the Wings went with the one year deal to test out his hip, moving forward unless he injures himself I think he'll sign.
