I'm oddly really intrigued by Martin. I haven't seen a ton of plays from him but I did see a few where he was really eating up blocks and then pouncing on the running back as they went by him. He also seemed to randomly have good pass rush metrics too when people were discussing him on Twitter. It sounded like he showed really well at the Shrine Bowl too. I'm hoping there's a hidden gem in there especially when you get him in professional strength and health programs.

I thought he missed a game / was day to day when he got called up, at the time I figured it might be managing his games played. Doing a little googling it oddly looks like a lower body injury though. I think it was Gudas who hit him?

I feel like almost every one of the top Wings prospects who either joined GR or Detroit this season got a fairly serious injury, bizarre.

I feel like it might take even more honestly, Connor is only a $7.1 million cap hit for the next 3 seasons which is a steal for a point per game player. A couple first round picks, edvinsson, third round pick, maybe someone like Veleno to give them another cheap roster player with some utility (PK). I could see them trying to find a taker for Ehlers or Scheifle maybe? I am not sure what happens with PLD too, does he finally make his way to Montreal somehow? The Jets are going to be interesting.

Not too surprising about Grand Rapids. It is probably Watson's job to lose like Shinzaki mentioned. Whoever it is it better be a good choice, there are going to be a lot of prospects to develop in GR the next few seasons I feel like.

Lashoff's last home game*** The Griffins are actually on the NHL Network at 8 pm tonight I think for their last game at Chicago

Griffins fell in Lashoff's last game before retirement. The Griffins made it a big to do with a lot of old teammates recording videos for Lashoff, it was fun.

Oddly enough Bednard looks really good so far from what I've seen, he just made a really nice splits save. I didn't realize he has a .922 save percentage through 5 games so far. It seems like the Griffins are playing teams fighting for playoff spots too.

I missed it but it looks like Lombardi got the primary assist on Hirose's goal tonight, Griffins up 1-0 after a period. Nice speed on the puck retrieval then a nice dish to Hirose. This hype train is going wild

This is exactly how I feel about both franchises oddly enough. I still hate all the old Avs players but I don't mind the current iteration.

No Crosby or Ovechkin in the playoffs, Blackhawks just announced that Toews is playing his last game as a Blackhawk. Changing of the guard really happening around the league. Also I am VERY thankful the Penguins have no shot at Bedard, it feels like they would "luck" into him if they had even a half percentage chance.
