  1. Spoilers from the first few episodes: It is nuts to me that they didn't give the new pilots/crew a heads up on how insane it was going to be on their missions. I guess you don't want people going in scared but damn that is crazy to me.
  2. Really enjoying Masters of the Air, agree it isn't as good as band of brothers but it still has that same sort of feel. I think I like it better than the Pacific so far. Crazy to see what the bombers' missions were like.
  3. Assists in the replies to the main tweet, 19 points in 12 games with Portland now
  4. Hockey players / athletes get upset at the weirdest stuff I swear
  5. They had a back to back game the next morning so they rushed it, I'm shocked he got suspended
  6. Wings PP looking awful, maybe they do have some rust. DeBrincat gets ragdolled by Cole who was very brave in grabbing Alex there.
  7. Ya I think it was a win for both sides. Hronek is getting more time in Vancouver with better players and playing well. Wings don't have to give him a big contract and got ASP for the future. Hronek is shouldering the load a lot more than I thought he would I will say. I agreed with not handing him a big contract with Seider needing one soon too, maybe some other young guys in the future too.
  8. 1-0 after 1, chances at both ends. Hronek and Suter got a welcome back thing apparently. Looked like the forwards were: DeBrincat - Larkin - Raymond Perron - Compher - Kane Rasmussen - Copp - Fischer Fabbri - Veleno - Sprong For a little bit I wondered if ADB was hurt but I think it was just a weird combo of penalty kill and long shifts
  9. His team's top scorer, 39 points in 43 games and 17 points his last 10 games. Super intriguing player as a seventh rounder.
  10. Cossa now has a higher save percentage than Wallstedt in the AHL!
  11. That's a lot to give up for Monahan, good for the Canadiens with how they were able to use Monahan to acquire a bunch of assets
  12. As someone who doesn't care about the all star game I fully concur
  13. Agree with LS, plus Husso gave them some good starts it wasn't like he was a total disaster over his entire tenure. I still think it was a worthy gamble.
  14. I would be more than fine parking someone in the press box or AHL for Edvinsson, but I doubt the Wings would ever do it from a player relation standpoint. We'll see how these after all star break injuries shake out...
  15. https://www.shapshotshockey.com/p/on-moritz-seider-advanced-stats-usage?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=1111135&post_id=141271617&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=nkg8z&utm_medium=email This is a fantastic read on Seider and his usage
  16. I have to imagine if the Wings wanted to negotiate and have a deal in place for an extension the trade would have been even more expensive, I just don't see the Wings in a place to make the move either way myself. Adding more Center depth would be nice but I hope they can upgrade Petry or Maata here...
  17. I feel like Veleno has been more than fine this season as the lowest paid player on the team, I'd like to keep him around until he gets paid a bit more. That's a lot to give up for a rental 2C in Lindholm. Probably a no thanks from me for an equivalent deal with the Wings if there is not an extension in place. Kuzmenko is still a really good piece in the trade even if he's "underachieving" right now, 95 points in 124 NHL games so far in his career. He just didn't seem to fit with Rick Tochett. I think the Flames did well here, it is going to take a lot more of those kind of moves to get out of their roster hell though.
  18. A lot to give up for a rental, lets see how it turns out...It is going to be interesting to see how the Canucks manage the contracts they're going to have to start giving out
  19. It is kind of nuts how much they are putting on Seider's shoulders this year, but I guess it is hard to trust others...
