That's definitely the vibe I get from Danielson reading about him. I'm guessing that is about his high end of possibilities, low end is probably looking at someone like....Rasmussen?

That's what it seems like, though it is tough to say because he played on a bad junior team.

I feel like Detroit needs to take a swing on upside at some point in these early picks but I can't pretend to know more about building a team than Yzerman. I just wish we had more high end skill on the roster.

I think our farm system is much stronger now than then just with the sheer talent comparison. The only prospects I am comfortably projecting to play a decent amount of time in Detroit are: Edvinsson Kasper Mazur Soderblom Otherwise I think it is a huge crapshoot. I am interested to see how Wallinder does in the AHL next season and Lombardi is a wild card. It is going to be an interesting couple of seasons of development for some of these guys making it to the AHL.

My guess is that the Wings checked in on PLD and were told he had no interest in signing a long term deal with the Wings, he's a moody guy. Asked for a trade in juniors, asked for a trade in Columbus and now wanted out of Winnipeg. All I ever heard was he was going to end up in Motreal until the Kings did this. Living in Manhattan Beach is a big draw I guess.

Villardi and Iafallo are much better players than Veleno and Zadina. Villardi alone had 41 points (23 goals) in 63 games as a 23 year old last season. The Kings tend to spread their players out across their lines, I am pretty sure they ran Fiala on their third line a decent amount last season even.

I think the rumors have largely been that they're looking for roster players versus draft picks, so I think that's exactly what they're doing. I have to say the Newhook and PLD trades are making me nervous for the ultimate DeBrincat cost.

My complete guess is that if it turns into a bidding war for DeBrincat that Yzerman is most likely walking away, but just a gut feeling

Former first round pick/RFA so I guess young with some control but....he's been like a 30 point player so far in his career. Seems like the Habs are really betting on him making a jump.

I feel like that's a lot for Newhook but I don't know his game too well
