What are your conclusions based on everything you know about these players? I am pretty sure Malloy is a poor defender because I have read nothing to the contrary. I am confident that Meadows is a good defender. I am less sure about Jung and Keith as I have seen mixed reviews, but it seems they are not going to make it based on their defensive skills. When I see mixed reviews of minor leaguers, I get concerned because succeeeding in MLB is really hard and the difference between defensive skiils of major and minor leaguers is large.

Not so bold! Most teams don't get off to terrible starts and I don't think there is any systematic reason why the Tigers have been doing so. It's just bad luck and maybe injuries.

I don't think so. If he is not good, he will be done at age 29. If he's good, he'll get three more years.

Great move by the Tigers! They have never done anything like this before with a prospect. If he's good, they have him locked up through his prime years at a very reasonable cost. If not, it won't hurt them too much.

His hitting producton was not elite, not with a 107 OPS+. His speed and defense were elite. He is Hall worthy, but I wouldn't put him in the upper echelon of Hall of Famers.

Striving for something is great if you are doing something that you love. Video games are not my thing, but studies have show that they do develop skills that can be useful in life. Travel sports are probably great for some kids too. I think for most youth, the pressure of obsessing over one sport is not the best experience especially if it's under the supervision of over ambitious adults. Playing a variety of different sports and other activities is probably a better experience for most.

Maybe Sabathia, but probably not the first year. There has been talk about Ichiro being a unanimous choice and it could happen. He is clearly a Hall of Famer, but I don't know if he's that special where he should be only the second unanimous choice ever. On the other hand, it's stupid to keep someone out just because you don't want it to be unanimous.

Why is this being billed as a historic win for Trump (by CNN)? A former President winning a primary by 10 points is nothing to brag about. CNN and the rest of the media needs to stop jerking off to Trump, but they won't because they need him.
