  1. Packers DB needs to go get the panties off the field that CMC juked him out of
  2. Not even Vildor blows coverage that bad. At least he would be in the TV screen. Surprised they don’t go for two there.
  3. Me: “what the **** is with that spot, this is terrible.” Girlfriend: “why are all of their butts so big?” *orders another shot
  4. Neither of these teams look dangerous, but I know they are
  5. Love isn’t the same QB he was last week. Both of these look beatable by a Lions team playing their A-game.
  6. And they come away with a goose egg.
  7. And play calling. They seemed content with 3.
  8. Stupid play call gets stupid results.
  9. Packers are having a lot of success running the ball early.
  10. This pattern of Lions staff taking one look at Charlotte's dumpster fire and saying "no thanks" is very entertaining to me.
  11. John and Jim trading jobs after winning their respective championships may be the funniest thing to ever happen to organized sports. And the family is just crazy enough for me to say there is a 1% chance it happens.
  12. I think if you ranked the 14 playoff teams before the wildcard round, the Bucs would be between 12th and 14th in most rankings. I’m not surprised they aren’t getting much love.
  13. I will say - if you add to the equation that it’s pouring rain in SF, like it’s supposed to today, that might change my calculus. I do think it’s important that the playing conditions be favorable if the game is not played indoors. The forecast for Santa Clara next Sunday is 68 and partly cloudy, which - you might as well be indoors it’s so nice.
  14. If Jordan Love is ‘on’ (which admittedly is a big if), I actually think SF is a better matchup for us, home or away. Purdy is less likely to be able to take advantage of our secondary. Not that he can’t, but SF’s offense is predicated on the run game, their offensive line, and the short to intermediate passing game between CMC, Aiyuk, Deebo, and Kittle. Which is what the Lions typically are able to stop on defense. It’s not all that dissimilar to our offense, except with Gibbs, ASB, Jamo, and LaPorta. Whereas Love, when he’s good, has no qualms about airing it out 50 yards downfield to an open receiver who’s got 5 yards separation from Vildor.
  15. Texans might beg to differ!
  16. If Green Bay hands Dallas their ass on a platter in Jerry World, and then goes into SF and takes out the 49ers, I would be not be eager to be the team to play them next.
  17. When people ask I’ll tell them it stands for mother****ing first-place
  18. I wonder if this season’s success will mean they finally take the WCF off the sleeves. Probably not.
  19. 365 days from now it might not be so bad. If Young is as bad as he looked this year, they'll be ready to move on and with a high draft pick to do so. But if that comes to fruition, it's likely whoever is hired this cycle will be a one-and-done again.
  20. What's Romeo Crennel up to these days?
  21. It's still one of 32. He's not going to get Harbaugh and he probably won't get Ben Johnson, but someone out there will take it. The money difference is nothing to write off either. The average OC or DC is making $1MM per year with little guaranteed year-to-year, while the entry-level head coach is probably making north of $4MM per year, with guarantees written in. Tepper's only hope for success though is that he stumbles into the next DeMeco Ryans, who will take an undesirable job and run with it. Texans went through four coaches in three years before hiring Ryans, and the Panthers are still less desirable than that because you'll be expected to turn water into wine with Bryce Young (or get fired) and you'll have no high draft picks this year to do it, surrounded by a 2-15 team. Whoever is selected should insist on a long deal with a lot of guaranteed money. If they move on after a year because Bryce Young still sucks, you should be set for life money-wise.
  22. Downgraded doesn’t really mean one thing in the NFL though. They rate their officials on every play. If they rated him poorly on that play, they could say they downgraded him (on that play). Just like any other play where an official makes a comparatively inconsequential mistake. I will say I doubt he makes an appearance in any of the three yet-to-be-announced games, but I think it’s more about face for the NFL than anything. They wouldn’t want the “Controversial Referee Brad Allen Assigned to Conference Championship Game” headline when it’s announced. I really don’t think they think he did anything egregiously wrong.
