Havenstein is still questionable for the Rams, but they made this move last night. If Havenstein is out, they'll be missing both starting tackles.

Colts and Rams are both good to very good. I think the Packers hope would have been to go 3-1 in that stretch. Would be nice to see them go 1-3, but I'd take 2-2. Particularly if the Lions can start 4-1, it'd be nice to get out to an early 2-3 game lead on the division. Chickens before they hatch and all that though.

I was just thinking of him yesterday. One of my least favorite player from this era of Lions football. Maybe second only to Cam Sutton. Mouth wrote checks his talent couldn’t cash, was healthy for only like three games, and he still managed to lead the ski mask debacle.

Seeing a lot of blame for poor field conditions in Brazil for Love’s injury. That feels like blaming the stairs after you fall down them with your legs tied together. Not saying the turf was ideal, but the dude was hit high and low on the leg (legally) and his knee popped. I’m not sure how that’s prevented by better surface.

It was hard getting to 53, but it will be even harder getting to 48 on game days when everyone is healthy. Good problem to have though. If I had to guess, DPJ will be activated today, if only because he already knows the playbook and Allen/Patrick haven't had time to learn it as well if someone goes down and we need our WR5 to step up. Then on Sunday, the five not dressing will be Giovanni Manu, Trevor Nowaske, Loren Strickland, Iffy Melifonwu, and one of DJ Reader (if he can't go), Michael Niese, or Sione Vaki. Maybe Khalil Dorsey but if Iffy and Strickland are both out then probably not. Depends on where they prefer the depth though.

If this is going to be called consistently early in the season it will work to the Lions advantage. Our tackles don't need to cheat to win their battles. Both the Rams backups will.
