It's hard to make any conclusions from a performance like that. It was so bad on so many levels. If they play like that, they will lose to any of the 31 teams they play. No one or two additions will fix that. I would seriously consider it a wash when evaluating anyone but coaching (and that analysis needs to be done on a meta level, not in a vacuum).

I fully believe this is a coaching loss. There is just a pattern at this point for a game every now and then where the team just does not show up. It sucks, but I would take this for 14-15 games a year where they give it 110% and win more often than not.

Nah. I mean it’s possible, but I seriously doubt it. Unfortunately they’ve been embarrassed before in this regime, and they always respond.

This is the Aaron Glenn defense that gave up a combined 133 points to the Eagles, Broncos, and Seahawks in 2021. It’s also a reason he has gotten interviews and no offers for his own gig.

I think they’ll probably beat the Raiders by 40 after this embarrassment, but that doesn’t make this feel any better.

The offense can score 30+ points. The problem is the defense. Going for it there would desperation and abandoning your defense. And you wouldn’t win this game without them.
