The thing that separates Hutch from the truly elite pass rushers is consistency. Four consecutive games of two sacks each is better than one game with five sacks, one with three, and two with none. He needs to be more consistent, and I hope he makes me eat this post soon.

I think they’re very well coached. Josh Dobbs turned into a pumpkin after about four games last year though, so I’ll reserve judgment until Darnold can sustain.

It’s a point of emphasis at the college level, not sure about NFL. They call it “stemming”. If the defense is making jerky movements at the line designed to make the offense false start, they want it called as a delay.

I expect to see everyone‘s favorite defensive strategy of bend-don’t-break today. MHJ and Kyler will both gash us at times but be held to field goals in the red zone. Slightly worried if Anzalone is out, but he seemed to be trending in the right direction out of concussion protocol. Arizona’s defensive line isn’t as good as Tampa’s so we should be able to run the ball down the middle of the field, which we struggled to do. Just get back to your identity and what’s won you games the last year and a half and everything will be okay.
