They have to revamp the playoffs, man. 14-3 and a road game? That's bunk.
Think of all the Minnesota children who were saved from witnessing a murder though.

LaFluer is just a pretty boy with a Napolean complex. An underrated punchable face is Todd Bowles. He always looks like he's in pain.
I agree with this. He was an Honorable Mention. I think his face makes me take pity on him though, which would bring less force with a punch.
Lifetime Award for punchable face goes to Matt Patricia.

I would franchise tag him.
At this rate he’ll be lucky if they don’t just have the janitorial staff clean out his locker for him.

I guess the refs just don't care about calling Illegal procedure on O Lineman dropping in to pass protect early anymore.....
I was just saying this the other day, watching the Steelers/Ravens game. Remember when they called like six illegal formations in the Thursday Night opener? Now, nothing.
That’s not even the refs fault. That’s their bosses.

Sam Darnold is going from a mega deal extension to a one-year prove-it in the course of two weeks.

They got the call right. It was a stupid decision by Stafford, but ultimately the right call. Clearly a passing motion, and there was an eligible receiver no more than a few yards away.
KOC knows his team needs those kinds of fluky breaks to win games.

Stafford is channeling his inner Jared Goff so far.

I know it's a losers mentality but since I think no matter who we would face in the NFC Championship Game should we get there isn't going to be easy I think about who I would hate to lose to if that were to happen.
I don't want to see Stafford and the Rams go to another Super Bowl cause then all we would hear about is how great the trade worked out for the Rams and how smart McVay is.
The Vikings I would hate to see go just cause I hate them but also it would be frustrating knowing that we beat them twice already but the game they won ended up being the one that took them to the Super Bowl.
So the Eagles win by default in this case in my eyes. I may change my mind depending on how the two teams look tonight but I thought the Eagles looked beatable after watching them against the Packers so I don't think they would be clearly tougher to beat then a healthy Rams team or the Vikings who we will see for the 3rd time.
The Eagles losing Dean was a huge blow IMO. It was right after that happened that Josh Jacobs was able to get that long run. He’s a focal point of their defense.

Not sure who I'm cheering for tonight. My order for the NFC Championship game from scariest to least scary would be Philly, Minnesota, LA Rams. I would love to play the Rams in the NFC Championship game. But I think Minnesota has a better shot at knocking off Philly than the Rams would. I think I'll be going for the Vikings tonight but sometimes I don't even really know myself until the game starts and I see how I instinctively react to a big play.
Minnesota and LA are tied for me, but I’d rather play either of them before Philly. No NFC Championship Game will ever be easy, you’re playing a team that’s won two consecutive playoff games. But we’ve beat both of those teams already this year.
With Nakobe Dean out, I think the way to beat Philly is going to be on the ground. Both Minnesota and LA are mediocre on the ground though. Intuitively, I think LA is probably more likely to be Philadelphia, so I’ll pull for them. I also think it would be funny to watch Vikings Nation collapse.

My gut tells me it’ll be closer than I’d like.
Washington is hot and playing with house money. The Lions have the benefit in that they’re not really cold, at least not in the same way the Chiefs are (who haven’t played a meaningful game in nearly a month).
But the Commanders are the prototypical young and scrappy underdog team that has far exceeded expectations, now with nothing to lose. They think they can beat anybody. Thats a dangerous team to play when it’s a one-and-done. Position by position it’s hard to name one where Washington is better, but this isn’t a best-of-five series. You can’t afford to go down 21-0, or cough up multiple turnovers.
Ultimately, talent beats spirit more often than not (and it’s not like Detroit doesn’t have plenty of spirit of their own). I think that’s the case here too, but it’s not as easy a matchup as an apples to apples roster comparison might suggest.

The way Dallas handled their head coaching job is bizarre.
As long as Jerry Jones treats the team like his toy to play GM with on weekends, they’ll never be a real contender.

Coaching Carousel Predictions:
- New York Jets: Mike McCarthy
- Chicago Bears: Joe Brady
- New Orleans Saints: Aaron Glenn
- Jacksonville Jaguars: Brian Flores
- New England Patriots: Mike Vrabel
- Dallas Cowboys: Kellen Moore
Cowboys job is officially open. My wildcard picks have been awful, but maybe these will be better.
Realizing I didn’t name the Raiders, I think that’s where Ben goes, if he goes this cycle. But I’ll predict Pete Carroll to the Raiders.
Ben will get his job eventually, but I think it’ll be a scenario where he can have his handpicked GM join him.

The Commanders were my preferred choice of the possible divisional round opponents even though they have the most dangerous dual threat QB of the 4 teams.
Lets be honest, if the Lions can't beat the Commanders, with all due respect to them, then they just aren't as good as we all think they are. It's like the Tampa playoff game last year, the Lions should be a strong favorite in this one.
Lions -8.5 is the opening spread. Commanders haven't lost a game by more than 8 since week one.

He is a baller but the constant knocks on Baker revealed themselves in this game with the botched handoff then the botch on the snap on 3rd down on the last possession although the center played a part in that mistake. He's always struggled with turnovers and it cost them in this one.
I agree, though I wonder what a really high level coach could do with him. Dan Campbell probably loves him, he bleeds grit.
But instead he's gone through Hue Jackson, Freddie Kitchens, Kevin Stefanski, Matt Rhule, Sean McVay (for four games), and now Todd Bowles. It's insane that he's still around the league, let alone being as strong a leader as he is.

We are a 3rd and 2 stop away from a Dan Campbell situation almost identical to the Lions’ GB game. I am sure Washington would kick it.
I was thinking the same thing. Campbell would go for it again.

What I remember most about that game is that I couldn’t find anyone to go with me, so I went alone. Drank expecting a blowout loss and then didn’t know what to do with myself when we were somehow blowing them out.
