someone in my family that would be considered high risk in many ways, and lives in a house full of other people who are considered high risk, just tested positive. Of course, almost the whole house is unvaxxed, don't trust the government obviously. This fam once tried to tell me about Qanon as if I hadn't heard of it before. What I hadn't heard was how Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington deaths were involved in Qanon.

It seems almost impossible to convince someone if they don't see death as either imminent, or as a deterrent. It seems to me that the physical situation they're in would convince them but what do I know.

I think there's something(s) about Trump and/or Trumpism they're missing. I don't have the slightest idea how to fix it but the GOP is outperforming polls quite a bit since right about 2016.

I've taken a self-administered test twice, and have legit wondered if I'm cramming that thing up my nose far enough.

Oh I don't pay attention to press conferences, I'm not a fan of media bloviators and pressers have proven themselves to be a complete waste of my time (both in politics and sports). If something important happens, I'll find out about it. There have been accusations about rigging who gets called on at least as far back as W Bush. They accused Obama of it, Trump, etc. It strikes me as totally unimportant. I really don't need their questions or the answers to the questions so I couldn't care less. Regarding "allowed to take questions" he could just be referring to staying on a busy schedule for the day. Honestly the only good press conference I'm aware of over the last few years was Helsinki in 2018 when it was Trump and Putin and they took 2 questions (if I remember correctly) and Jonathan Lemiere completely exposed Trump. Someone else got Putin to say he wanted Trump to win which at the time the Republicans were lying about and saying Pooty wanted Hills to win.

It is a really weird situation w/ the tests. We got a lot of them for free from the local health department, and the health department ran out. So we have had a pretty decent number of fam and friends come over and take test on our outdoor patio.

If it's about accomplishments in congress why did the party with less accomplishments win?

yeah I think that's one conclusion to draw from here, it really seems like they have a better chance in swing states sans Trump.

I think the Democrats have a lot of issues in their strategies, but one glaring one is this: They think elections are about policy, and run as such. The GOP knows elections are about emotions, and run as such.
