I was very patient with Davenport for a long time, bad luck, talented guy was my thinking. I was full on wrong. I think so much was dependent on him being BOTH effective and present. Those two words are incompatible in the world of Marcus Davenport. He was a bad decision.
I’m more thinking weeks, not the whole year. But regardless, glad he’s back!
Add…As you said maybe the plan all along, and all this other OL issues just happened. Hard to wait for LA…game-wish sooner.
Now that this happened-not criticizing-if he’s in shape as suggested and given the state of the OL prior to Glasgow injury-wonder why this waited until the absolute last moment? Selfishly wishing he would be playing tomorrow.
I’m thinking Goff and St. Brown are not fully in sync. regarding the drops. When they are “on” seems like passes are on target and in stride. I have seen drops when that’s true and about as many as when that’s not. Goff looks like he’s expecting one thing and Saint expects something different. Yesterday I think the interception throw was behind and tipped. Against Phil, there was a throw that was called out - looking like Goff expected Saint to moving but he stopped.
Total speculation, but something is amiss for sure.
I haven’t been able to check in here but early in the game was the first time I saw Campbell on the sidelines he was wearing readers. I had to think he’s taking a much more active role in the play calling. Results are good.
