Taylor Swift..her popularity is mystifying.
It's been happening since The Beatles and Elvis. The difference is the fans have 24/7 access to the fandom now. In a few years, it will be someone else. Apparently the attention on her bothers some people. Ok. *shrug* It's nothing to get up in arms about and these idiots need to let people enjoy things.

I wish you the best. My buddy's daughter got herself into trouble bullying over Discord, she was also sending hentai porn to the person she was bullying. She was 11 at the time.
I peeked in on it recently and it was mostly them and their nerd friends sharing their art and pictures of their cats. I do need to be more diligent about it for sure but I am comforted knowing that all of their friends, save for one, are level headed kids with good parents. The one that worries me is a school only friend and we have effectively and stealthly limited the interactions to that.

There is talk of training crows to pick up discarded cigarette butts in California. They really are smart creatures.

I don't care if I sound like an old curmudgeon but social media is horrible and is a plague on society.
My kids only have one social media account (on Discord) where they have a group chat of their nerd friends. We don't do facebook, twitter, snapchat, tiktok or insta. In fact, when I told them they couldn't use tiktok anymore when it was taken over by the commies, there was a brief "you hate me" response but they eventually came to understand the "why".

Oh yeah, I know, I get it, but it's still sad. And it was beyond fame, it was obsession. They handled it better than Cobain did. He wanted to be famous and it killed him.
Well he also had heroin and Courtney love as part of the cocktail.

It was Sixty years ago today. When first touched at at JFK.
Two of them were 24, one was 22 and one was 21. Imagine being that young and having that sort of fame. It would have wrecked a lot of people.

I play volleyball a couple of times a week and put together a playlist of songs with a high BPM to keep the energy level going. I included "Subdivisions" by Rush and, about twenty seconds into the song, a woman in her 30's asked if it was the theme to Chips.

If anyone is into ambient music, I messed around with this about a year ago. Took me a few days and I am sure with some effort it could have turned out better. Still, here it is as it was and most likely forever will be unless the ambient bug bites again.

Every year when it happens we say "We should have done that" but there's always something going on locally where we can't make it up there...
Make your hotel reservation now and the cheap side of you will motivate you to go!

I can’t wait to run over it. It will be open to pedestrian traffic.
Running over the ambassador bridge for the free press half marathon was so amazing. That alone makes the training worth it.
You should really do the Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk/Run. Talk about a great experience!

They would be guaranteed stars if it were 1986 again.
Its a less charismatic INXS covering a James Brown song to my ears. I like it and it's catchy but I'd be surprised if this blew up nationally.

I'll admit to hopping on board the hate train about the Roadhouse remake, but this actually looks pretty fun.
I hope they don't reuse the line "I used to ____ guys like you in prison" as if it's a nostalgic line because that had to be one of the dumbest lines ever in the history of cinema.

I'm pretty sure this has been shared here before however I revisit it at least once a month because it's just that good.

The entire album isn't out yet but there is another song I almost shared called hammer and nail. The lyrics are only well known phrases which I enjoyed, but could see some thinking it was tacky/countryish. Excited for the full album though
Charlie Starr is one of the reasons I got rid of my Strat and bought a Jr.

(I think....)
It saves me the cost of buying/handing out a bunch of thumb drives with the MP3s on them, so yeah 🙂

Baseball Cards
in Detroit Tigers
Posted
I just dumped off a bunch of Michael Jordan, Frank Thomas and Griffey cards at a considerable loss. It was a fun hobby when I was single and had time but now they sit there unappreciated.
George Brett is my favorite baseball player not named Mark Fidrych and I have a considerable collection of his cards. They sit there. I have an autographed ball and some bobble heads that I will keep but I’ll probably dump off the cards once I have the mini and full sized rookie card evaluated.
