by gaslighting do you mean calling a thread where all of the aforementioned is happening a "great thread"?

    Those happened.  Facts.

You're just singlehandedly derailing a really good thread with these spun out emotional responses.

Look chief, stop misrepresenting me to try to make your points and instead respond to what I actually said. Have some stones and apologize.  STOP GASLIGHTING ME!!!! Apologize and move on.

So that's what this mornings contributions have looked like from the rest of the board's perspective...

Maybe not as rare as back in the day when they were all passive piloted natural draft type. For an induced draft unit the fan, air flow sensor, igniter and interlock circuit are common serviceable failure points that can be worth repairing if the tank still has service life remaining.

I have the DTE service plan which covers repairs. Any water heater over ten years old are automatically deemed to be in need of replacement.

@Motor City Sonics Plan on spending around $1500.

Anyone know a good and trustworthy person or company (Dearborn, Western Wayne area) to repair or replace a Water Heater

It is rare to perform a repair on a water heater. I do know that the big boxes vet their contractors when you buy them there but I would prefer to use a local plumbing company. I can't offer any suggestions for that side of the state.

Bro.  I appreciate the advice, but I'm ok with it.  If you think I'm breaking the rules I apologize, that is not my intent.

No, you're not breaking any rules. You're just singlehandedly derailing a really good thread with these spun out emotional responses.

Ah yes more convenient inferences on what I posted.   Just what I was hoping for!  We don't have enough of those!

At least you have the stones to admit you took liberty with my words unlike the other posters here

I responded to what you actually said.  You now admit you responded to what you inferred I said.   I trust that you see the difference but I don't think you'll admit the obvious difference because some people like drama.

Bro. Seriously. Give it up already.

Hold up.  I realize I'm old.  And I don't go to fast fooderies.  But I can't just roll up to Taco Bell and say, "I like baseball, I would like my complimentary taco, please"?  And they can look at me and make general assumptions that, middle aged guy, probably a baseball fan, just get him a taco so we can get back to watching tik tok videos on the clock?  What kind of promotion is this?

You don't get what you don't ask for! Go for it! The kid who takes your order probably won't say it, but he'll think "Ok Boomer"!! 😄

Videos with the same person playing multiple characters talking to themselves. They aren't funny.

Most of the time yes. There is a guy named Daniel Thrasher that makes some really funny videos in this style. He's a really talented musician and his skits are usually pretty funny.

I just see her as a modern David Bowie... appearance is part of the art form. Not everyone has to like the expression.  In terms of pure music she has talent and chops.  She wears costumes.

I think I had said this before that it is sad that a talented singer needs to resort to that to get attention, but ever since 1981 it's the way of the world.

I remember, way back when, thinking how ridiculous Motley Crue and Twisted Sister were with their makeup and clothes but they used it to their advantage.

I'll never not believe she is a total phony. If you want to call yourself Lady Gaga as a stage name instead of Stefani Germanotta, that's fine. Lots of singers have stage names. If you want to dress in different, weird, or unique costumes on stage, that's fine too. I love KISS and they built a career out of it. But to want me to believe that his is the type of person you really are, even when he lights and camera aren't on you, that I cannot do. I am just not going to believe this is how you really are behind the scenes and that you aren't just doing this all for the media attention. I also don't believe she refers to her real life friends as Little Monsters. She's got a fantastic PR team, I'll give her that.

How did Lady Gaga get away with being so weird while still ...

I don't often keep track of who says what on this forum, but I distinctly remember that you were not a fan of her so I pulled the cord on the lawnmower! 😄

I could be wrong about this but my understanding is there's a popular theory on the right that the mental illness problem isn't that people have mental illnesses and need help... it's that anti-depressant meds are causing people to do these shootings.

I've never heard anyone talking about the meds causing issues but have heard the "off the meds" theory. So maybe the cure isn't worse that the disease but there needs to be a clear understanding that mental health medication is forever and not just until the person feels better.

When a YouTube video's thumbnail and description about a historical topic I'm interested in draws me in, and the video itself ends up being >95% some guy taking up the screen with his ugly mug and a microphone, and there may or may not occasionally be some picture related to the topic shown over their shoulder, taking up maybe 20% of the total screen. I blame Peyton and Eli Manning for this revolting state of affairs.

At least he's using a microphone. If I am watching a video recorded with a room/device microphone, I have a pretty quick "next" trigger. I don't mind if a quick intro is done using room audio but if more than 3% of the video is room audio, I'm out.
