I don't like this pick. I just don't understand why Brad won't draft a pass rusher. This also seems like a developmental pick to me. He has traits with not much production. Nick Saban on the ABC draft coverage seemed to think this was too early. So did Desmond and their other analyst. This pick seems a bit of smartest guy in the room.

There was one of two teams I expected Mike Green to go to, Philly or Baltimore. Of course he went to Baltimore. He'll be a stud now.

Alright, Tate Ratledge. I like this pick. We needed to get younger at the interior offensive line and this helps us do that. Good pick, I'm happy.

And finally Will Johnson gets picked. It does seem like he'll be more of a zone corner in the NFL.

Looking at who is still available I would be interested in any of the following players, which means Brad will draft someone I'm not expecting. I like the two OL out of Georgia, Jared Wilson who plays C and Tate Ratledge. Michigan's Josiah Stewart interests me as well. And of course Mike Green, but he simply isn't on their board.

A poorly run team that's tens-of-millions over the cap and has $52 million in dead cap space. Mickey Loomis is really not a good GM and it lightening in a bottle with Sean Payton and Drew Brees.

Poor Tyler Shough has broken just about every bone in his body too. That's really unfortunate. Seems like a Brad Holmes player.

Tyler Shough is going to be 26? LOL The Saints drafted and guy who will be out of his prime in a few years. He's also been in college longer than Makhtar N'Diaye and he played college basketball for like 32 years until he was 55 or something.

They showed a shot of the Bears war room and it looked like one of their personnel people was drinking a beer. I'd drink too if I was in the Bears organization. Glad to see they had two picks and went for the lesser of the two TEs and an average WR in a poor WR draft class. Good to see they aren't protecting their QB by drafting a OL.

By Tony Wilfork I am guessing you either mean Vince Wilfork or Soprano's actor Tony Siragusa. If Williams is half the player Wilfork or Siragusa were then this pick is a huge success (no pun).

We had nearly identical lists. My 4th choice was a tossup between Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein (It's pronounced Frank-en-steen).

DT is a big need in the short term because of the injury to Alim. We may be without McNeill for half the season or more and that will significantly impact this defense, both in terms of pass rush and against the run. It's a need long term because DJ Reader is north of 30 and his play is clearly declining. It's a need anyway you look at it. I would have preferred an Edge like Mike Green or the DE from Boston College. But DT was most certainly a need.

This puts to rest Jamo getting traded.

Former NFLer and radio host Jon Jansen on 97.1 likes the pick. He thinks Williams is a guy who will command a lot of double teams.
