Promoting Arn's son after firing Troy Weaver is like promoting Martin Mayhew after firing Matt Millen. Langdon needs to be able to go out and interview and hire someone who has been divorced from this clown car off a front office. Hopefully he has the autonomy to completely remake this entire front office and not be forced to promote the next dolt in line for a job, in this case Tellem's son Eric.

When the skeptic guy Carmichael tries to bribe the devil/demon with a check at the end that made me laugh out loud. I also thought the scene where they showed his wife dying in bed and her having been the victim of him selling out to be #1 on the late night talk show circuit was both creepy and provoking.

As always, the irony escapes the people who chanted "lock her up!" in 2016 and claim to be the party of law & order.

So what is everyone's guy telling them regarding the verdict in this case? Guilty, not guilty, or hung jury? I personally believe it will be a hung jury and that Trump will skate as he typically does and he'll declare victory on it. The average American, not paying much attention to this trial, will see this as a victory for him too because the truth of a hung jury not equaling innocent will get lost in all of Trump's bravado claiming exoneration.

My mom went to Eastern Michigan in the early 1970s and paid for her college, books, and gas by working a part time retail job throughout the year. She took out a small loan and when she finished college (didn't officially graduate) had no student loan debt. After she graduated she bought her first house at the age of 22 and went to work for Michigan Bell and had a near 30 year career with MI Bell/AT&T. She was forced into retirement around the age of 60 when she was laid off during the recession. She went back to work for another 6 years or so after being laid off and then officially retired around age 66. I went to Wayne State in the late 2000s and worked a part time retail job during the school year and full time during the spring and summer months. I even got promoted to a Shift Supervisor position and went up to $9.25/hr. as a Supervisor. I graduated with $40,000 in debt from Wayne State and no prospects for a job better than what I had due to the economic being in the midst of the Great Recession. So then I went back to school and got a Masters Degree while I road out the recession. I added another $15,000 or so in debt load from going for my Masters. I bought my first house at 28. I only was able to do so because housing prices were still deflated and I had a friend of mine move in with me and help out with the bills. I have a decent job right now and can say I am comfortable month to month, and even have a little savings. But I am by no means doing great. I'll never retire. I simply won't have enough in my 401k (which I contribute to monthly) and Social Security to retire. MAGA is going to gut Social Security anyways if and when they take back power in November.

Since Tellem has been here the franchise has done nothing but lose. What has he done that's been positive? Was he not apart of the search committee to bring in Weaver? Just as Tom Lewand was apart of promoting Matt Millen's #2 in command Martin Mayhew to Lions GM. When Mayhew was fired so was Lewand for, in-part, having worked with Mayhew during his tenure with the Lions. If indeed Tellem was apart of bringing Weaver in then he needs to go along with Weaver.

Why can't Gores step in and fire Tellem then and his bum son who is the Director of Pro Scouting Eric Tellem? Martha Ford fired Team President Tom Lewand at the same time that she fired the Lions GM. No reason Gores couldn't fire both Weaver and Tellem.

Does Langdon have the ability and autonomy to fire and hire anyone he wants? He needs that level of autonomy in this organization. Troy Weaver should be fired. But so too should Arm Tellem, his bum son who is the Director of Pro Scouting Eric Tellem, and frankly the entire college scouting staff. He needs to have the same freedom and flexibility that Brad Holmes and Scott Harris have in their respective organizations. This entire from office from college scouting to player development needs to be overhauled. The Pistons need more than just a change in GM and Head Coach.

Speaking of real modern country, I saw Charley Crockett live a couple of years ago at the Majestic and thought he put on a solid live show.

Old 97s are somewhere between country and rock, though they probably lean more rock. They really fit into both the alt-country an\d country-rock classifications at times. They aren't George Jones if that's the barometer your using for a country sound. They're more Jason Isbell before Jason Isbell was a thing.

See, when Stafford was here the Stafford fans were saying the exact opposite. When Stafford critics, like myself, would bring up the whole "who has he made better" argument we were often dismissed and told how non-elite QBs don't really make WRs all that better. When critics would bring up some of the names that guys like Brady, Farve, Rogers, and other QBs made better critics were often rebuked thar those were elite QBs and you can't compare Stafford to those players and expect him to be at their level.

Why didn't the defense end up calling presumably Trump-friendly witnesses like Allen Weisselberg to the stand? Are they worried the more he has to say the worse it gets for Trump?

Similar to Hershel Walker, the MAGA crowd doesn't also seem to care nor notice that they are exploiting a person with brain health issues by running them for office and putting them under this type of pressure and stress.

We lost Kevin Colbert to the Steelers in the 1990s. It's too bad Bill Ford Jr. didn't offer him the job of GM instead of Millen. Though, had he, fans would have just bitched that they promoted from within like many of us did when Mayhew got bumped as next man up.

Ahhhhh yes, the great was it Brad Holmes or was it really all Brandon Sosna debate. Now I guess we get to see was it really Brad Holmes as the brains of the operation or was it all Sosna. This is like the debate around was it really Belichick or was it all Brady. In all seriousness though, this guy sounds like a pretty sharp kid and a some what of a loss for the Lions.
