  1. It's been said multiple times. But he is an arsonist, who starts his own fires, and then brags when he changes course and decides to put the fire out. These labor shortages, which have existed for a long while now, are getting worse because of YOUR immigration policies sir. You are the one going into farms and workplaces to arrest migrant and undocumented workers sir.
  2. Is Ryan McMahon from the Rockies worth targeting for our need at 3B? Career .743 OPS and great defensive third baseman.
  3. We could do the same with second pairing defenseman. One period it can be Petry and Gustafsson, the next it can be Edvinsson and Holl, and then the third period it can be Johansson and Chiarot.
  4. Roughly 42% of our farm and agriculture workforce is undocumented. Can't wait to see those grocery prices if they start mass deporting farm, agriculture, and food industry workers and stuff can't get harvested from the fields or processed fast enough at plants.
  5. So another goalie that will block Cossa from getting NHL ice team or no?
  6. The other part of the equation with Yzerman and when be critiquing him is the whole "Yeah, well, what moves would you have wanted him to make instead?" That is something that certainly should be taken into account and I am aware of. It is easy to arm chair GM and then criticize after the fact. They probably should have tanked for another season after 2022 and continued the rebuild going into the 22-23 season instead of bringing in what Yzerman viewed as quality starters like Chiarot, Copp, and Perron. I think I was onboard with this idea at the time. Though I did like the Copp and Perron moves when they were made. even if the money was steep on Copp. I never liked the Chiarot signing and I don't know that any fans really did. We all know we've had famously bad lottery luck, but there is no guarantee that would continue and you can't run a franchise acting as if it would. I don't think it would have been a bad thing to essentially continue the rebuild for one more season in 22-23. This would have given us get better lottery odds for a chance at one of Bedard, Carlsson, or Fantilli in the 2023 draft. I do think had we waited it out one more year we're likely in a better financial position without Chiarot and Copp eating up so much cap space. I do think our PK would be substantially worse without Copp and our defense marginally worse without Chiarot. That said, I would trade being worse in one of those two aspects if it meant we had a Bedard, Carlsson, or Fantilli to build around. Again though, no guarantee we would have gotten a top 3 pick.
  7. If it's on the players that we missed the playoffs isn't it also on the front office and GM who chose to bring those players into the organization and/or keep them around? Also, when we collapsed at the end of the season under Fester Adams, no one made Yzerman keep Lalonde around and bring him back to start this season. Again, I'm not calling for Yzerman's head or anything, just for him to share in the blame a bit for where this organization is at and the neutral gear we've seemingly been stuck in the last two years after experiencing some growth early on.
  8. Wang is the type of player we need because he's hard to beat. With that kind of size Wang can hang down low and move people off the puck.
  9. Is this a way of saying he's potentially Andrew Copp 2.0 or worse if he's contract costs significantly more than Copp?
  10. So now it is just a crime to run for office? Dictators gonna dictate I guess. Where is Bunker to defend his dictator?
  11. The NFC Championship game is #1 for me. They blew a 17 point lead and the 49'ers got every single unbelievable break imaginable in that game to win it. I had people over at my house and it was a party atmosphere with lots of high fives and smiles in the first half. It was a complete 180 in-terms of our mood in the second half. High fives and smiles turned to arguments, frowns, and lots of yelling at each other. Not a fun experience.
  12. I'm not at the hate Stevie stage yet. I'm at the disappointed in the moves he's made haven't worked out yet stage. 7 years in and there has been minimal success on the ice. That's directly on the moves he's made and hasn't made. For a good add his first round drafting has been, his pro side moves have been equally as bad or subpar. I'll always love Yzerman the player, but that doesn't mean I have to love Yzerman the GM. He's been good in some areas (like drafting) and poor in other areas (like determining when to let a HC go and pro scouting).
  13. Stevie is delusional enough to think that Chiarot, Compher, Holl, Mrazek, and Rasmussen are a key part of a successful team. So who knows what he think at this point. I'd doubt he thinks Austin Watson is such, but after trading for Mrazek and Smith at the deadline, you never know.
  14. Marchand is such a rat. He's so good, but still a player you love to hate. And tonight he gets the game winner with the puck creeping under Skinner.
  15. Corey Perry is the Robert Horry of the NHL apparently, playing the role of the wiley vet who makes the big shot when needed.
  16. Another great game in the Cup Finals. Who is going to blink first tonight in OT? I thought Edmonton was buried when Reinhart got that breakaway but Skinner came up with a big save. I don't think Reinhart got off a particularly good shot though.
  17. There are City Connects I actually like, just not ours. The Brewers and Royals are two that come to mind I like. Neither of those teams in my mind have classic MLB unis either for their regular attire. It is what it is.
  18. Both games I've gone to this year and they are wearing those atrocious City Connect jerseys. A shameless money grab for an ugly jersey. Playing one of the oldest franchises in baseball and we wear City Connects instead of the classic Old English D, what a bummer. Oh well, hopefully Skubal throws a no hitter.
  19. Assuming it holds up in court, but hopefully it doesn't, will Trump's Muslim ban prevent these countries participating in the Olympics in LA? What a ****ing embarrassment that would be. It would be like when the Nazi regime hosted the Olympics in the 1930s. That was a disgrace and so to would this be with our own fascist regime.
  20. You bet! Tanner Ursey is someone you should add into your rotation and his upcoming album is going to be killer no doubt. Another one for you is neo-traditional country artist Jesse Daniel. He has a new album out called Son of the San Lorenzo too. I've heard the title track (below) and am looking forward to diving deeper into the album.
  21. Why didn't the Steelers trade for Kirk Cousins? At this point I think he's better than Rodgers and he isn't the locker room cancer Rodgers is.
  22. How far will Musk take this feud do we think? Will he spill a lot of inner circle, White House tea? He's already going after him on the Epstein stuff it appears, not that we didn't know about it already.
  23. Always amazes me when I'm reminded and see Corey Perry still playing in the league. The guy started when I graduated high school in 2005 and is still playing at 40.
  24. Stanley Cup Final Game 1 has been a good, competitive, back and forth game. I expected Florida to come out and dominate similar to how they did in the Carolina series. Not so though.
