  1. The first time I was very conscious of whom Benetti was, he was on a national college football broadcast( Washington vs Utah maybe??). He was super. During the first season that Benetti was our PBP, far too many times, regardless of whom he was paired with, the whole presentation sounded like a simulation of Beavis and Butthead doing play by play.

This year, the presentation seems to be more focused on the game with some fun thrown in, but I am not completely sold. Given the current trend of the TV broadcasts, I most probably will not subscribe to Fanduel Sports Detroit next season. I want the ballgame to be front and center and not some sideshow act in a Vegas Hotel. Given the sports ads , the constant missing of important plays due to in game interviews, and the drunken bar stool spiel, I think starting next year it will be radio only. The constant distractions in the broad cast are just not worth it.

Toronto is not getting a top 5 prospect from any team for Bichette.

I don't see a world in which the Tigers trade anything for Bichette. But asking for the moon, only to agree for less, the might be a taker somewhere for it. The way the Pittsburgh GM runs the Pirates anything might be possible.

Not really, He was never coming here anyway.

Sometimes, When Breeding horses, a mare might be in heat, but she refuses to accept the desired stallion. In that case, a mare might be receptive to another stallion,so she is teased with the inferior male, and then the old switcheroo is done as the last moment. We were victims of the old switcheroo and we never destined for anything else.

The ban of Pete Rose was not about punishing Pete Rose.  It was about maintaining the integrity of the game.  It shouldn't matter whether he's dead or alive.  I do think that this was inevitable though given that MLB is now so in bed with gamblers that every broadcast is a game-long advertisement for gambling companies.

The constant gambling promotion and the insane numbers of in game interviews saturated with plugola are making the broadcasts unwatchable.

Figure out how to fill that box seat area behind home plate.  You should bring in attractive models so our broadcasts look visually interesting aside from the baseball.   I would suggest you cast a diverse group.  Avoid obvious costumes.  So, if you do cast baseball gays, make sure they don't look like the pride float or Carmen Miranda.  Avoid blackface, turbans, or native tribal headresses just for the purposes of showing diversity.

How 'bout Vegas showgirls in gold sequins and feather headdresses?
