I will say, knowing that goal was getting overturned to winning in shootout made watching that sequence even more satisfying. The Talbot save vs Kempe in the shootout is not being discussed here enough. Holy cow. That was the save of the game.

Me too. I finally watched it. There was literally no indication that the result was in question for over full minute. Ken and Osgood were just going over their normal post loss stats. Then finally Ken said that the Wings hadn’t left the bench. The review was crazy obvious. He was in the crease way before the puck, and then he both deflected the puck from in the crease to making contact with Talbot as he slid across the crease to scoring from in the crease.

Prospect report

I’ve always been a big fan of enforcing the crease rules, just stay out. I’ve also been a fan of letting them play if the goalie comes out of the crease. I think you should be able to check a goalie who’s playing the puck behind the net.

I hate to admit this, but I closed my browser window whe they scored I was so pissed. I am shocked to see this!

Also, Cincinnati is a decent team on both side of the ball. Take out the franchise QB in almost any offense and you will see similar results. Look how much better they look with Flacco. Just needed a competent QB to bridge them to Burrow.

Jets have a long way to go. He knew that going in. Why are people surprised a bad team is bad? I wasn’t a huge AG fans as D coordinator, but he could be better off as a head coach. The real problem is the ownership and front office.

Giants just took the ball from Hurts during a tush push and they called forward progress stopped. He was still moving and was reaching the ball out. This entire play is a mess and it’s just rigged for the Eagles.

He didn’t survive the ground as they like to say. He caught it and would have kept possession sans injury. As it was, when he hit the ground the ball got dislodged. It’s just not a catch with the rules today. I’m actually not against it either. I’d prefer this version than allowing anyone with two hands on the ball to be considered in possession. Same with the bobbles going out of bounds. Make it a requirement that they have it firmly before granting possession.

I actually prefer the expedited booth review. No need to stop the game at all. It just needs to be consistent. And I agree with the fraction of an inch. We only care about placement when it’s near the first down marker. I really want the chip stuff to be operational.

I agree but … Fields is not Goff. He’s going to pull everyone under being asked to do something he’s non capable of, namely play QB.

I don’t mind the assistance if it’s all the time. I do mind if it’s inconsistent. Either have someone with replay ability to help all the time or stay out of it. There is no in-between.

That’s being said the interception was in interception. And they review should have automatically looked at the spot even through the challenge was for possession. Shouldn’t have need a second review to get it right.

Baker Mayfield let the ref know he was frustrated with “questionable” calls As he should be. There were some weird sequences out there. It’s frustrating that the makeup calls came against the Bucs. The Chiefs were the beneficiaries of the BS last week, they should be the ones to pay the price.

The defense is better without Glenn, no doubt. Still not sold on offense. Stats are mostly there, but they just don’t seem as versatile. It’s mostly coming from 3 guys.
