He's a fine backup, given how durable Goff is since I read somewhere repeatedly that he never misses a game. No controversy, it's a 3rd round QB. He can take kneel downs as well as anyone.
I'm out of reactions as well. I saw the powerhouse if Iowa connection as well
That was literally what he meant. I saw that too and immediately got his joke. Relax.
Iowa was a powerhouse. Remember when the Lions drafted 2 players from a bad Florida team in the first 2 rounds? At least we didn't trade back into the 1st for a TE.
So if there are 9 players that are a cut above the rest and you have the 6th pick why move back to 12? If 10-40 are all basically interchangeable then it seems like the 12th pick has almost the same value as the 34th pick. Are 2 second tier players better than 1 top tier? Gibbs had never been in the top 10 discussion so it’s not like the Lions played chess here. Same with Campbell.
For all the crap Swift gets for durability he’s a little bigger than Gibbs. RBs have less value because it’s hard to stay healthy and productive. Hopefully Gibbs is smart enough to ignore the noise about battling for the extra yard and just steps out of bounds. Limit the hits.
