Pitching rotation next week: Minnesota: ERod, Pineda, Skubal LA: Alexander or Brieske on Friday/Saturday...they are not sure of the order; Erod Sunday.

Mize and Manning both headed to Lakeland to continue their pitching program. This means that manning will be out longer than expected. We already know that Mize is out awhile. Brieske will start either Friday or Saturday is Los Angeles.

Chafin will make his debut on the road trip. That will likely send a positional player back(W Castro).

Baez activated from IL..Foley optioned to Toledo. Cabrera gets the day off.

Unless something changes, Javy Baez will be activated tomorrow. That should hopefully lessen the amount of playing time for the Castros. Willi will go down if Javy is ready.

Schoop and Candy need to fix themselves. They are the best option we've got right now. There are no answers in the system.

Brieske is the exact prospect the Tigers have needed. Profiles as an end of the rotation starter...could be more if he commands his fastball. Send him down after tonight he can work out the kinks.

Smart to pull Alexander at 42 pitches. Make this a bullpen day and you can use him as early as Saturday(Manning's spot). Unless of course he is injured.

With Baez and Grossman both not available, Castro gets to hit there. That's not good.

I was hoping we would see less of the Castros and Vic Reyes this year. That shows you are at least making progress.

Even if Mize doesn't end up with the worst case scenario, we won't see him for at least a month...probably much longer.

Mize to the DL with a right elbow sprain...Daz Cameron activated(he was already with the team).

23% called strikes and whiffs. 4 whiffs on 75 pitches. I'm not absolving Candy...bad play. But the ball is in play a lot.

Mize doesn't miss bats and can't consistently locate. Not a good formula.

Disappointing finish by Erod there...it's only 2-1 and then he gives up a hard hit to the awful JBJ and gets tattooed the rest of the way.
