  1. Yeah that's what I meant. Helmets look cool, grays are sh*t
  2. They look pretty horrid with the gray color rush though. Probably pop nicely with the whites
  3. Lions avg 25 pts per game. They allow 22 pts per game. So let’s see… I’m thinking Lions, 25-22
  4. Funny. I was thinking the same thing
  5. The Lions will likely be drafting at the low end of round one next year. Not sure how much their first round pick would even be worth. If Holmes doesn't trade it away, premier defensive talent will be slim pickings if they draft in the late 20s
  6. I don't agree with it either. I was just making the point
  7. If Holmes wants to make a splash move for a defensive unicorn, it will undeliably cost 2 firsts. The Lions would have no picks in the first round until 2026 (ugh), and I just can’t see him doing that. I’m expecting a move for corner depth though. The one argument for going all in on ‘win now’ would be to capitalize on that comically favorable schedule of theirs. It’s unlikely they’ll see this easy of a path to a 1 or 2 seed for years
  8. Unless they completely blow it (which is certainly imaginable), the Lions look to be on track - so far anyway - to possibly win the North. If they do that and add a playoff win, that's pretty good progress. This doesn't look like a team that would get any further than that though
  9. Totally agree, he's their "tone setter". But it's hard to say whether Montgomery would've made much of a difference yesterday. The defense put Ben Johnson in such a massively deep hole, so early, that he pretty much had to abandon the run game. I think Gibbs only had 3-4 carries the entire 1st half
  10. Goff has been pretty amazing so far this year (sans yesterday), but his lack of mobility is such a glaring f***ing weakness
  11. We also traded up for Jaymo, who at this point is nothing more than a 1st round decoy who puts more balls on the ground than he catches. He had a career high number of snaps yesterday, and he didn't show up at all when the team needed him. Unless you somehow believe Jaymo knows the playbook better than Goff, that end zone pick was 100% on him. We've already heard Campbell talk about how he "needs to be more dependable", "learn to be where he's supposed to be", etc. And beat writers talk about how he's still dropping balls in practice and how bad his route running is. This is not a 1st round receiver
  12. Speaking of playmakers, the fact that Holmes ignored addressing the DLine and secondary in the 1st round and instead chased shiny toys is REALLY starting to stick out right now, especially given how bad this defense was last year. He also would’ve been better off keeping Swift, and maybe even Okudah - who he pretty much gave away for nothing. Thank god CJGJ and Moseley were only 1-year deals
  13. I think the Lions showed yesterday how young they are, and both Harbaugh and Carroll showed how inexperienced the Lions coaching staff is. One positive so far this season: at least they’re beating teams they’re supposed to beat, which is something previous regimes haven’t always done
  14. The fact that he wasn't put on IR is pretty revealing. I'm guessing he'll be back shortly - probably after the bye
  15. They need a pass rushing DT and depth at cornerback
  16. 0 points after all that. My god that has to be deflating
  17. Okay that was a nice play by Johnson
  18. OL is playing like a row of traffic cones today
  19. Hopefully 4-5 games from now this horror will be forgotten. They rebounded pretty well after Seattle
  20. Everyone has been crap today. The coaches, even their star players. All of them. This almost seems like a mental thing today
  21. Well, at least this will finally shut up all the nonsense about the Lions being the #1 team in the NFL, better than Philly and SF, legit Super Bowl contender, etc.
  22. Lamar having no problem throwing in that wind. Seems like Goff is struggling with it
  23. Just get out of this game with zero injuries please
