  1. Teams were offering the Angels their top 2 if not Top 3 prospects for 1/2 a season of Ohtani. Now I understand its not the same but I'm just saying, if we're gonna lose him, I'd rather lose him for 1/2 a season an gain 5 years of control over two or three stud prospects. I'll take my chances for 10-15 starts especially of Jobe and Mize are humming. Flaherty is doin great as well. Those three could anchor a rotation in the playoffs I think.
  2. I wonder if this off season, we float trading him. We should be able to get two Top 50 prospects for him plus others. If one of those is a pitcher, then why not? I get I'm in the minority, but I think we could reload some premium talent. Maybe we focus on a pitching prospect in return. Something like to the Giants for Kyle Harrison, Keaton Winn, and Josuar De Jesus or Tibbs for him. Replace our pitching and give us good prospects too. I'm all for it.
  3. Can you explain the cap hit? If a player is traded, doesn't his salary go to the traded team? I forget the really famous Edge that sat out most of the year. He got penalized for sitting out, but I thought the team was trying to trade him to get him off the books but because they coudln't he sat out a bunch of games and got fined quite a bit. Really famous guy. But I thought the salary went to traded team.
  4. Well, I just posted this in the draft thread, but I know not everyone looks for little stuff. Do you all think the Tigers will pay Skubes? I found an article from Feb from SI: https://www.si.com/mlb/tigers/news/detroit-tigers-ace-projected-sign-seven-year-188-million-extension but not much else. With him being a Boras guy and we all know Boras likes to do the open market, do you think a deal gets done? Nightmare scenario, no, and we chase the WS this year and next. Skubal then walks and we get a comp pick. That could set the franchise back a loooooong time if we don't trade him if he's not signing an extension. Look at the Angels. They still haven't recovered from losing Ohtani for nothing. Will we make the same mistake? Personally I hope the Tigers do extend him. 7 Years, 200 Mill would be a great deal. Something tells me he may want something like 10/290 though or something rediculous. Thoughts?
  5. I remember throwing my remote when we passed on Mayer..... I dunno. I still like Mayer a lot. Hopefully Jobe can develop into a true #1. I worry the Tigers won't pony up for Skubal. If that's the case, we need Jobe to be the guy unless Mize turns out to be for real.....
  6. https://www.si.com/mlb/tigers/news/detroit-tigers-add-two-impact-college-bats-latest-2025-mlb-mock-draft Little mock draft love. (I'd love these picks). I don't see us going with High Schoolers this year. So it'll be fun to see them draft someone we won't have to wait four years to see..... I could even see the Tigers drafting a reliever that could be fast moving and quick to the majors like Ryan Perry and Chance Ruffin (Had to look them up again sheeeeeeesh). I hope they go College bats though. Particularly OF or C. (Moreso OF).
  7. DOFU stream allows you to stream all major sports and NCAA for free. Been using it for years.
  8. I could see the lions reloading with draft picks after this season..... I think Kittle's deal throws us out of the LaPorta range. So I think he'll be traded for draft assets. If JaMO has a great year, I think he could recoup some picks as well. Those two alone will give us another two or three picks in the first three rounds next year. I wouldn't be surprised if one of our older O-linemen are also traded next year for some replacement picks too. I think we're going to see quite an influx of picks after this coming season. Just my $0.02.
  9. Seems like a lot to be #4 on the depth chart (if that).
  10. Lions signed an undrafted CB Gavin Holmes for 3 million.... Sheeeeeeesh.
  11. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2026-nfl-mock-draft-way-too-early-arch-manning - Way too early order / mocks. Most early mocks have us taking an Edge..... We all know how that worked out this year.... Detroit Lions PIcks 1st Round - Own 2nd Round - Own 4th Round - Own 5th Round - Own 6th - (Not known yet) 7th - (Not known yet) 7th - (Not known yet) The 7th rounders could flex pending on trades. We still owe a 7th for Kicker Riley Patterson. Also the pick we got back for Isaac TeSlaa in the 6th and the one we got back in the 7th for Za'Darius Smith are still unknown.
  12. Draft him in 7th just to cut him? Oof. lol be funny though
  13. Nope its real. That idiot posted that. Fox reported it on their website........ what a moron.
  14. Thats all we need him to do. I'm liking the pick more by the second.....
  15. We don't need him to be all pro. We got Jamo and ASB. We need him to be a solid #3. Looks like he can do that.
