If a toxic asset with health issues like Eichel can fetch a top six F, a decent prospect and a 1st and a 2nd rd pick...I would think Bert should net something in that range

A pretty good non Tiger book from years ago is Peter Gammons' "Beyond the Sixth Game". It takes a close look at the Red Sox from post 1975 WS to the mid 80's. The Sox were a bit of a clown show during that period (let's forget to mail Fisk a contract so he becomes a FA) so it's an interesting study

The disquieting thing about Zadina is the talk that his mental approach is an issue...that he loses confidence and presses when things get tough. What do you do with that? Rasmussen shouldn't be playing C. His skating has improved, but I think the game is too fast for him as a C. Let him run up and down a wing for a year and see what you have.

Watched most of the 2nd period last night on a stream out of Russia...Edvinsson is so fricking mobile...seeing the highlights is one thing, but to see someone that size actually moving like that within the game it's even more impressive.

My father in law went really quickly this summer from a brain tumor. He was having issues with headaches and slurring his speech. They did a scan and detected a small growth. They set him up for further tests within the week. Within days he had difficulty walking to the point he was rushed to the ER. within 48 hours he was so far gone that he was transferred to a hospice unit where he died 2-3 days later.
