  1. Yes yes, the guy with 3 super bowl rings as a DC is a total fraud. Right. I totally get why Lions fans hate the guy, he is a terrible head coach, but come on.
  2. Saying Patricia is an below average college DC is a laughable comment. I will just leave it at that. I will point out that you are saying this while ignoring that Oregon is going with a rookie DC that was an internal hire. It is a fair comment they are replacing 8 starters on D including Caleb Downs, who was generational. With THAT said, I do not think either team will finish season 1 or 2 and preseason polls are dumb
  3. I don’t disagree, however, I’m guessing the Tigers were demanding Jesus Made. i can understand why the brewers wouldn’t do that
  4. I am sure French fans are already complaining about the refs over that VAR check on the Mbappe PK, however, that PK attempt by Mbappe was AWFUL. What the hell was that?
  5. I mean, I would argue Egypt is better than Paraguay....
  6. Dest actually made 51 appearances at Barca shockingly. You can see the ability sometimes, like against Paraguay first match, and then there are games like tonight where he looks like a fraud. I think Balogun is going to a big club in a week or two and will be interesting to see where.
  7. Yeah I meant now
  8. I think Tillman is pretty clearly better than Pulisic at this point
  9. Belgium just severely outclassing the US in midfield. This looks like the old US.
  10. Just to be clear I strongly dislike Trump and don’t like he is involved with this.
  11. Consider this FIFA’s apology for USMNT being robbed of a trip to the semifinals in 02 as far as I’m concerned
  12. What rule is the USMNT breaking? It is the teams fault they reviewed the, completely BS, red card and suspended the red? Should have never been called and should never have been in this situation to begin with. I get what you’re saying, but pardon me if I don’t really care. The US men’s team has been on the receiving end up BS from CONCACAF and FIFA for decades. First time in my life something went our way.
  13. No England isn’t. They wipe the yellows after the quarterfinals
  14. Can't lie - I am cracking up at the euro fans clutching their pearls over this. Hilarious stuff. The INTEGRITY of the game!!!!! There are so many scandals in world soccer it would be funny if real people were not often getting hurt. This one is harmless. The entire build up to the world cup in Qatar comes to mind. Hell, a story was just released about Argentina using their national soccer program to groom little boys. Nobody talked about that story at all, europeans and south americans completely ignored it. The Argentine fans were just shouting the N word and other racist BS at an African American youtuber at the game against Cabo Verde. Nobody bats an eye. Mexican fans scream a homophobic slur every time the opposing team kicks a goal kick, happened multiple times last night. CONCACAF has warned the Mexican soccer federation about it many times, and in CONCACAF play they even stop the match. FIFA has no such rule. Nobody bats an eye. Countless scandals in global soccer. With that said, again, the pearl clutching by Euro soccer fans on this is the funniest thing in soccer since European players invented flopping.
  15. I mean, the US was able to score 4 against Paraguay with Paraguay doing the same thing.
  16. While I was watching the game I said to myself "that dude is going to be the next big star" and I googled him and sure enough "will be signing with Bayern Munich"
  17. Looks like Paraguay is a decent team.
  18. no doubt, but he was going to respond
  19. To be fair, the entire world was crapping on him after the first game
  20. Berhalter is so bad, I have absolutely no idea why he is on the squad. I mean, at least Luna can give you some vibes and aggression off the bench. I am hoping Poch realized Berhalter should not see the field moving forward.
  21. and then what happened? He is the GOAT
  22. I have some Greek heritage so I remember that euros well. Was so hilarious. 9 dudes in the box and bombs to Charisteas.
  23. Oh nah, I didn't mean here as in motown, I just meant the idea everyone sucks except a few teams being presented by you. Also, I am not trying to be hostile If I am coming off that way, just an interesting topic to me. I am not saying everyone is good, I am just saying even the lower "ranked" teams have some talented players and depending on how they play together they can make some noise. For example, Japan is always a tough team to play and they often play above the skill level on their team. As a team they are worth more than the sum of their parts. I think in order to actually win the world cup you have to be loaded with talent, but that doesn't mean everyone else sucks. Over the years I have made a habit of looking up the rosters of teams when games start. Even the smaller countries have some players. Especially nowadays with players being able to play for multiple nations. Take Haiti, for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiti_national_football_team#Players This is a very low ranked team from CONCACAF. However, this is basically a France reserve squad. Most of their players were born and raised in France. A lot of them play in either the French league or random euro leagues. Even have a forward that plays for Sunderland. Now, to be clear, I am not saying Haiti is some great team, but this isn't like a team of carpenters from Haiti, these are professionals. New Zealand, who was referenced before, I have watched them over the years. They are certainly not a "good" team, but I wouldn't say they "suck" either - they have some players, Chris Wood has scored a lot of goals in England, for example. A lot of their players place in Oceania professionally, but I think what they have going for them is they have a small player pool so they have been playing with each other for a very long time. Will they ever compete with the top countries? No, of course not. However, they have enough to give them games in the group stage.
  24. Beware the Dodgers They generally do not trade away prospects they actually covet and I think their prospects rankings are getting the Yankees treatment from the 90s and early 00's: "look at the Dodgers, they have 69 top prospects" and then 67 of them fail horribly when they get to the big leagues.
  25. Is the idea here that every team sucks unless they are loaded with top players from the EPL? Ronaldo is definitely toast.
