I don't see him comparable to JJ. I think JJ was a bit overrated because of the team around him, honestly, but he was certainly a good leader and clutch. He stepped up when he had to deliver a key pass and did so accurately and on time. Underwood has not really shown ability to do that. I think Underwood might have been overhyped coming out of high school because he was just such an athletic freak/physical specimen. Was able to dominate a bunch of HS kids that are now either going to random colleges in Michigan as normies or working at Chipotle in the greater Detroit area. Now he is going up against other athletic freaks. He needs to throw passes into tight windows. His mechanics are awful. Simply awful. Can he figure it out? Sure, of course he can. He hasn't shown it yet, though. I guess he dominated New Mexico and Central. I tried to tell Michigan fans similar stuff about Jaydn Davis, but everyone said I was just being a Buckeye homer. Now, Davis doesn't have the physical tools of Underwood, so it is not exactly the same. Underwood can certainly turn it around. But he needs to start showing out in September, and realistically, when he enters big ten play. I could see Underwood being a bit of a Terelle Pryor, who also had bad mechanics, but Pryor was a better running, at least from what I have seen. Just me trying to be a fortune teller - I think Underwood will be QB1 all of this year and Michigan decides to move on after the season. Unsure if QB1 going into 2027 will be Carr or someone from outside the program, but have a feeling Underwood will go down south for what he will see as his last college season and Michigan will want a more accurate passer. When you have such an elite running back and OL, you don't need someone making highlight reel plays at QB. Honestly, if Michigan had someone like Julian Sayin with that RB room I think they would be one of the favorites for the natty this year. Hiter is going to be special and Marshall is real good.

Hello Tiger Fans, I was reading the McGonigle thread and I noticed a lot of talk about the youth movement on the position side going on in Detroit. Where does that leave Greene and Tork? Both are having subpar starts to the season. Greene seemed like he was on the precipice of greatness a couple years ago but last year, even though he was an all star, his numbers took a dive compared to the year prior. As a Reds fan watching the worst OF in baseball night in and night out - what would it take to get Greene from Detroit right now? Or is he not someone they would move? Tigers seem like they need bullpen, right?

Hello, just stopping by to say please sweep the Cardinals. Thank you in advance. -
That shot by Mullins was epic, but just want to point out the presence of mind by Karaban to make that pass with 2 seconds left was incredible. I think 99 out of 100 players force a shot there in panic-mode. He knew he didn't have a shot so perfect pass to Mullins to hit a shot in rhythm. The inexperience of a freshman not realizing he should just hold the ball next to the experience of a 4 year player in Karaban with two natties under his belt is quite stark. With THAT said, boneheaded decision by the Duke players, but that is on the coach moreso IMHO, you gotta call a timeout and explain the moment. "there is exactly 10 seconds left. we don't have to get it over the line. Just hold the ball until they foul you"

I think this is true for some of the teams in the B1G (Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska, kinda MSU - but most of sparty players are homegrown) MSU and Purdue are pretty much homegrown players and Iowa's transfers all followed their coach from Drake (and some from his division 2 school). Michigan is basically the polar opposite, even to the point they tampered with a player from another big money big ten program - Illinois. Michigan is the poster child for big money NIL basketball team. As for the big ten "dominating" college basketball - lets see them actually win a natty for the first time in 26 years before saying so haha.

Like I said, it’s not a negative and I am not hating. It’s fact, tho. Duke‘s best player is a teenage freshman, an actual college aged kid. Michigan’s best player is a grown ass man that should be playing in the NBA right now. I’m sorry but it’s fact. I am only saying it’s ship or bust this year for UM.
-
They also have the best team money can buy. I mean, they are absolutely excellent, but comparing this to previous teams Michigan has had is kind of silly. Top 4 players are mercenaries. At least one of which is a 23 year old that should be playing in the NBA as he would have been a first round pick last year but Michigan is paying him more than he would make as a 1st round draft pick. It is wild. (to be clear I am not saying this is a negative, it is just fact). Anything less than a championship banner this year for Michigan is an unequivocal failure.

Michigan is a great team this year. With that said, OSU is just complete ass and has been for years. Team totally quit with 5 minutes left in the game. That reflects very poorly on Diebler. He really has to go. I bet they give him another year, for some unknown reason, though. Bruce Thornton should have transferred years ago, only player on OSU worth a damn.

Honestly, I think baseball certainly takes a lot of skill and practice but all the great hitters have one thing in common - extremely freakish perfect eyesight. One could be just as flippant about baseball and say "I mean, Ty Cobb had freakish eyesight, whoopdy do"

This just tells me you know nothing about soccer...

I think you are having a reading comp issue. I am absolutely not MAGA, sheesh. I am saying the numbers from the website are BS, which, unless I read the initial meme wrong - is attacking Obama, Biden, and Clinton and supporting Trump. I have expressed how appalled I am at the murder of Pretti on other platforms, didn't think I needed to on every one? Either way, we are on the same side, I think.

Where did I say I was concerned about it? Just pointing out the meme was bull**** to begin with.

It isn't even accurate, from the Homeland Sec website: “In President Trump’s first year back in office, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, including an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations and more than 675,000 deportations.” And that number is just 2025

There’s no way Underwood, JJ Smith, and the highest paid players are going to class. No way. I think some still do, like I would guess Sayin is as he probably knows he isn’t going to play in the NFL. However, the idea JJ Smith goes to class is hilarious. And who could blame him. He’s going to be a top 5 pick next year, his education is on the football field.
