It didn’t help that Ausar was on the bench for a lot of the crunch time minutes. Why Deniss Jenkins was in the game guarding Murray is beyond me.
-
I didn't really understand this either. Also, when they threw doubles at Brooks, he struggled. But for whatever reason, they didn't do it enough.
-
I am guessing Ivey might have tweaked something. The fact he hasn't played this second half is odd given how desperate we are for somebody to knock down a three.
-
The Pistons second unit has been dominated tonight in a way that I have not seen much this season. The are getting poor looks almost every time down on offense.
-
Watching Stewart play center is frustrating. He is a power forward, even in the modern NBA.
-
I don't think we can afford to trade Duren without a competent replacement.

Duren should be the centerpiece of a Giannis trade if we went that route. I would love Giannis but I also think there is a pretty good chance the injury issues that are happening this season are going to continue for him. Hard to justify paying the high price it will take to get him

Sacremento has no desire to play defense. You watch a game like this and think maybe Cade needs to lower the volume on three point attempts a little bit and focus more on the mid range. He's just too good from mid range not to take advantage of it more.
-
I was going to ask about Ausar's minutes after looking at the box score. For a team that is built on it's defense and then you lose a game giving up 131 points, it seems like something is off when your best defender only plays 16 minutes.

Guys who can't draw up successful plays out of timeouts are usually not good coaches. Have seen it time and time again. I like JB so maybe he breaks the mold on this but it is usually a bad sign if you have a coach that can't draw up plays.
-
I think we should be looking at another big. The team is built on defense and I think a two big lineup maximizes our defensive potential, especially when Stewart is on the court as one of them.
-
I would not take a bag of balls for him. Not my favorite player but too often guys break out in their third or fourth year.
-
I don't really want to pay Duren either. At least see what is available at the deadline. The Pistons also should challenge Isaiah Stewart to control his emotions so we can play him 30 minutes a game. He needs to be a big part of our future.
-
I agree with this. This team doesn't seem to be understand that bad calls happen all the time and at some point, you just need to let it go.
-
Duren is getting a lot of good publicity this year for his improvement and a lot of it is well deserved. But his rim protection is so frustrating at times. He basically gives you the minimum what a guy with his size and athleticism could provide.
-
I wonder if we are playing too many guys significant minutes. And Duncan Robinson was not even in the lineup. I know they want to reward Jenkins and Green for what they did earlier this year. But at some point, we are going to need to live or die with Ivey. Also, Cade's three point shooting this year is becoming something to watch.

Cade learned his lesson and gave the ball up that time after getting doubled.
-
It is insane how Miami is doubling us up in free throw attempts now. Give me a break on that bs.
-
What is going on with Cade and turnovers again lately? It's debilating the offense in key moments.

Teams have adjusted to Duren. He's not getting hardly anythign easy any more. -
Not super excited to have Ivey back. In the long run, we definitely have more upside with him. But hard to mess with the chemistry this team has had this season.

It really is a next man up attitude that is permeating thru the team right now. I constantly hear this from Piston players when being interviewed. Credit to everybody that is part of the team. -

So everything I felt after a few games has reversed, or appears to be wrong. Our bench should actually be a strength, not a weakness. The good vibes for Ron Holland are now kind of bad vibes. Duncan Robinson is actually a viable replacement for Malik Beasley, and maybe even more well rounded as a player. And Caris Levert is actually a decent rotation player and I can see why the Pistons chose him over bringing Hardaway back. -

I wonder if players hate it. From a fans perspective watching on tv, it hurts the eyes to look at. -

It's culture shock watching NBA players that are severely outmanned and fighting for their jobs play hard and hustle their butts off.
