  1. Three point shot would be great but this mindset that it's all or nothing between three pointers and mid range jumpers needs to go away. I would think it's much easier for a guy like Duren to become a threat from 15 feet than 24 feet. Either would do a lot for his value.
  2. I think Duren needs to add a mid range jumper to his game. Similar to how all those power forwards in the 90's would add a mid range jumper to their game later in their careers. Get started on that right away this offseason. I think it's almost a lock the Pistons will match whatever another team offers and we need him to be more than just a finisher with the salary we will be paying him. He's needs to be like a 22 and 11 guy next year. This was easily his worst game since the all-star break. The stat line was not terrible but he had been dominating lately and I did not see that tonight.
  3. We work our tail off to cut it to one and then the other team hits two strait threes. When you don't have shooters to respond, that feels like a gut punch. One thing I will say about the Pistons is they never waiver on defense. It's very impressive the effort they give on a nightly basis for an NBA team.
  4. It seems like we have gotten more desperate lately. Maybe it's just better competition. You could easily add one offense first guy to this lineup without suffering much on defense.
  5. Ron Holland shot 18 percent on three 3's per game in the month of February. Not off to a great start tonight either. He should maybe think about driving and getting to the free throw line more.
  6. Duren and Cade seem to be getting better as the season wears on but they are not getting a lot of help. Others have said it but that Ivey injury really bites.
  7. The spurs are good but I have never seen so many bad bounces for a team in a quarter. Every time the pistons play good defense, the spurs get a basket off a broken play.
  8. Early on you could tell Cade was affected by Wemby but now he is just missing shots he normally makes at a higher clip. Cade sees defenses load up on him all the time.
  9. The three point discrepancy is absurd.
  10. This has to be one of Cade’s worst shooting performances on high volume.
  11. Pretty sure they plan to pay him. Might as well accept it. And quite honestly, without a replacement, they would be taking a big step back without him.
  12. Who taught Huerter how to play defense? That is embarrasing. Apparently, he doesn't know how to bend his knees and move his feet.
  13. It didn’t help that Ausar was on the bench for a lot of the crunch time minutes. Why Deniss Jenkins was in the game guarding Murray is beyond me.
  14. I didn't really understand this either. Also, when they threw doubles at Brooks, he struggled. But for whatever reason, they didn't do it enough.
  15. I am guessing Ivey might have tweaked something. The fact he hasn't played this second half is odd given how desperate we are for somebody to knock down a three.
  16. The Pistons second unit has been dominated tonight in a way that I have not seen much this season. The are getting poor looks almost every time down on offense.
  17. Watching Stewart play center is frustrating. He is a power forward, even in the modern NBA.
  18. I don't think we can afford to trade Duren without a competent replacement.
  19. Duren should be the centerpiece of a Giannis trade if we went that route. I would love Giannis but I also think there is a pretty good chance the injury issues that are happening this season are going to continue for him. Hard to justify paying the high price it will take to get him
  20. Sacremento has no desire to play defense. You watch a game like this and think maybe Cade needs to lower the volume on three point attempts a little bit and focus more on the mid range. He's just too good from mid range not to take advantage of it more.
  21. I was going to ask about Ausar's minutes after looking at the box score. For a team that is built on it's defense and then you lose a game giving up 131 points, it seems like something is off when your best defender only plays 16 minutes.
  22. Guys who can't draw up successful plays out of timeouts are usually not good coaches. Have seen it time and time again. I like JB so maybe he breaks the mold on this but it is usually a bad sign if you have a coach that can't draw up plays.
  23. I think we should be looking at another big. The team is built on defense and I think a two big lineup maximizes our defensive potential, especially when Stewart is on the court as one of them.
  24. I would not take a bag of balls for him. Not my favorite player but too often guys break out in their third or fourth year.
  25. I don't really want to pay Duren either. At least see what is available at the deadline. The Pistons also should challenge Isaiah Stewart to control his emotions so we can play him 30 minutes a game. He needs to be a big part of our future.
