  1. Good thing no vaxxed players have tested positive 😕
  2. Maybe they do NOW. They didn't initially. To deny that is simply dishonest.
  3. Thanks. The worst part was the hospital acted like it was no big deal. It sure was to HIM! And to his mom. Vomiting up blood doesn't happen regularly and they acted like we shouldn't care about it. Good thing it was over by the time I got home from work. Something was really odd about a covid test that they had to stick a skewer 6 inches into your head for a virus supposedly transmitted by simple breathing (through TWO masks!). When I took mine it was just a simple cotton swab of my nostrils, which made more sense.
  4. You couldn't be more wrong. When covid began they counted the death rate based on known diagnosis of covid. When it comes to the flu, from experience they assume 80% of people who contract it don't report it and count the death rate based on that. People just take a day or two off work, suffer a bit, and get back to real life ASAP. The difference gave rise to an 80 fold factor in overattributing deaths to covid vs the flu. People with the flu suffer as much or more than most people with covid. But we're familiar with the flu, so no big deal. We stay in bed for a day or two and go back to work. People are told to be scared of covid, so they flee to the hospital and take a week or two off work and get extra unemployment benefits as an inducement to do so.
  5. Being that the first year of covid there were over 80% FALSE positives, that's probably true, except most of the deaths were normal, not from covid.
  6. I also have a special needs son (Downs Syndrome. Is that special enough for you?) They gave him an unnecessary covid test for a simple scope procedure and their covid test (negative) caused him to bleed internally. Poor kid (and his mother) were scared to death as he bled into his stomach and vomited up blood repeatedly. Lucky for all involved I was at work or there would be a few doctors out of business and me in jail.
  7. But you can confirm all the people claimed to have died of covid actually died of covid despite more than 80% false positives when they were using the higher cycle rate before the election?
  8. Which pro athletes have died from covid? Which ones have been hospitalized?
  9. https://goodsciencing.com/covid/athletes-suffer-cardiac-arrest-die-after-covid-shot/
  10. https://brobible.com/sports/article/lions-upset-cardinals-tattoo-bet-promise/ LOLOL. Arizona fan said he'd get a tattoo of Goff on his privates. He's disappeared from social media 😉
  11. No, it's 12-21-21. EVERY NHL player (but ONE) is vaxxed yet the NHL is having a covid epidemic. Doesn't the vax work? The ONE got covid, went through it fine, and now has natural immunity. EVERY NBA player, but a handful, have been vaxxed, yet the NBA is having a covid epidemic. Doesn't the vax work? NFL - wash, rinse, repeat. How many pro players have died from covid? How many hospitalized? None? They why the hysteria? Now, how many athletes (worldwide) have died after getting the vax? A LOT more than have died of covid.
  12. Glad to see their shutdown has been so successful and no NBA players are getting covid 😕
  13. Horse hockey. No company ever did this for the flu or previous ailments. They are doing it because of govt pressure, not making independent decisions. The restaurant industry shut down willingly? What are you smoking? Companies are operating on 50% staffs willingly? Are you serious? If it was independent, free market stuff, they'd have been doing this long before covid and govt pressure.
  14. Why are we so worried about people testing positive for a virus? Do you know how many viruses we carry on a regular basis? So far omicron has only killed one old guy in Texas. Should we shut down society every time some old guy dies of something? Did old guys not die before covid came along? NHL is 100% vaxxed (one player isn't). NBA and NFL are over 95% vaxxed. Yet all three are cancelling games because of players testing positive for a virus. They're not dying. They're not going to the hospital. They're not even sick. If they are all contracting a virus with near 100% vax rates, what good is the vax? Why would anybody think promoting more jabs is helpful?
  15. I think what they did for FIVE months supersedes what they did for one month.
  16. These WAR prognostications vary depending on if we apply them to our 77 wins, or the 84 win ratio we put up the last five months of the season. Add Javy's 6 to 77 and we're an over .500 team. Add them to the 84 and we're challenging for the playoffs. Add another pitcher and the sky's the limit.
  17. LOL. Only the Same Old Lions would, as worst team in the NFL, beat the best team in the NFL, and blow their #1 draft pick. Hopefully, the Jags will take Thibodeaux and leave us Hutchinson ... but WAIT ... the Jets and Texans are only a game behind us. We could end up drafting 5th and miss out on ALL the picks we really need.
  18. I'm not saying it wasn't a good financial decision, at least in the immediate. I'm saying if I was drafting, I'd take a kid who wanted to play and send his team out with a Bowl victory. Not a snowflake mentality. I'd want team players on my team, not guys looking out just for themselve$. Win in the pros and you'll make more money.
  19. Why didn't he leave mid-season? A lot more chance to get hurt in six games than one Bowl. He was already an established top pick.
  20. Bullpens sure can be fickle. That's why a guy like Josh Hader, who is solid every year, is so valuable. I would've mortgaged the farm to get him when he was available. But between Soto, Cisnero, Funky, Wentz, Olsen, and a few others, I think they'll be good again overall. 90 wins is a good goal to shoot for. Actually making the post-season depends on how other teams do as well, or if the playoffs are expanded in the new agreement.
  21. Why not take off the last 3-4 games of the season. If you play, you might get hurt. Might get hurt in practice, or an NFL exhibition game. Take those off too. They have to play football to get a college education that doesn't cost them a dime? No, they're not unpaid if they are being compensated something with a $100,000 immediate value and hundreds of thousands more throughout the rest of their lives. And they don't have to pay taxes on their tuition/room/board earnings. And now they can get money for their own exploits as well, and I believe they should. If they don't take advantage of the offer of a free college degree because they just wanna play football, that's their decision. I won't shed any tears over that. UM might bring in $126M, but Podunk Tech doesn't. How are they going to pay their amateur student athletes? Don't they work as hard?
  22. We definitely need our pitchers to stay healthy, but look what we overcame last year - lost two starters (three counting Teheran). Lost our catcher. Lost two OFers who collided with each other - and still played a bit over .500 for five months. 77-85. Eliminate the horrific start and we'd have been more like 83-79. So expecting 90ish now is not unreasonable at all. Sign another decent starter and it becomes an expectation.
  23. The Bowl game is part of this season. They have already honored their agreement with him. He might not be legally liable because of a technicality, but, AFAIC, he's still morally liable and is still letting down his teammates, university, coaches, fans, and those who paid for him to get where he is.
  24. I think that is a very rational expectation.
  25. I do agree we have made many Bowls irrelevant and shallow by letting 6-6 teams, and now even 6-7 teams into Bowl games. I would expand the playoffs to eight teams. Let the major Bowls rotate among them. That would cover seven Bowl games. Another eight Bowls would take in 16 more teams. I don't know if we need many more Bowls than that. I would also make 7 wins the minimum or at least a better than .500 record. You could go with a 10, 12, or 16 team playoff field, but I don't think team #12 or #16 has a legitimate claim to win the natty. That cheapens the regular season. But that would still be better than a 6-6 team playing a 6-7 team in the Invented-Out-of-Thin-Air Bowl.
