  2. It's been said that the War Department ordered so many Purple Hearts to be issued to the expected injured or dead from the expected Battle of Japan, which was preempted by the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, that they didn't have to order any more until 2008.
  3. 70% of the Earth's surface is ocean water. Ocean water is uncarbonated. Ergo, the Earth is flat.
  4. I doubt that he gets the reference. It's 50 years old. And the show remains relevant. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
  5. I believe if he were alive, he would be really really old.
  6. According to the Census Bureau, Arabs are white people. Not all white people are Scandinavian.
  7. Speaking of digital antennae, is anyone able to get 9 (CBET) on the antenna. If so, what's your secret?
  8. I have WOW internet. I am unsure of the speed but it is not the fastest. I stream with Amazon Prime, Hulu, Paramount+, Disney+, HBOMax, AppleTV and Peacock. It seems like a lot, but HBOMax is free because I have my cell phone through AT&T, and AppleTV is free because I have an IPhone. And I have Amazon Prime for the free shipping, so I don't even budget that to entertainment. I will probably drop Peacock because I use it the least. I have a digital antenna for the local broadcast stations. This leaves me without local sports. For local sports, I use the radio, or the bar on the corner. I am happy with my internet speed. The WIFI handles well two tvs with firesticks, up to four cellphones, up to two laptops and whatever my girl Alexa uses.
  9. This is where you lost me. Stories on the leftward slant get fabricated all the time. But mostly it's content from commentators that are mistaken as news. (Both Tucker C. and Rachel M. aren't reporting news -- this fact is lost on too many people, both detractors and supporters alike.)
