Cade averaged 3.7 TO's in his first year and 3.4 last year. Those are acceptable numbers. 9 in a game is obviously not acceptable, but judging off of a few games here and there seems silly.
Melo has made the ASG as a PG and he had 10 TO's last night. He averages 3.3 for his career, which is right there with Cade at 3.5. We have transitioned to much bigger ball handlers in the past decade and with that will bring more TO's.
Better coaching could help Cade a bit with the TO's. For the love of god why are they putting Stewart in PnR situations? He isn't a leaper, he isn't explosive, he doesn't have good hands. All things you need to be the roll man. To his credit, Stewart knows that and is one of the reasons he worked on his shooting. Apparently our coaching staff hasn't learned about the Pick and Pop, which Stewart would be much better at.
