I don't really get the Morris trade. I guess it recoups the 2nd we gave up for him. But Milton and Brown are nothing. I guess they knew he would leave this summer, which makes sense I guess.

I like the deal but this is still funny.

Every year I make a trade deadline thread and every year it is a huge disappointment. So no trade thread this year and we probably land Luka, Hali, and Booker.

Barnes is playing well and much better than advertised. But he also had the benefit of playing behind OG and Siakam. Since those trades Barnes shooting has fallen off a cliff. He shot 27% from three in January. Maybe a slump but it has to hurt now he is the main focus of opposing defense just like Cade is. In what is basically his second year, Cade is scoring 22.4 PPG, 7.5 APG, 4 RPG and shooting 34% from three while getting to the line at an improved rate. TO's are down under 4 at 3.7 but has shown great improvement as the season has gone on with TO's, only averaging 2.9 in December. All this while basically facing a constant double team. He certainly has things to work on. Defense needs to improve quite a bit, but again, he was above average as a rookie. So I wonder if this is a coaching thing. Love to see the 3PT% north of 36%. Keeping cutting the TO's down. Be more assertive especially in crunch time. I would love to see him get out and run more, especially since Ivey, Duren, and Thompson are all athletic and run well for their positions. I think he is on pace for basically a second year guy. He takes a lot of crap because the team doesnt win. But so did SGA.

Cade had a great December before the injury. Something like 25/5/7 on 35% from three 60% TS%. He will be fine.

Cade gets away with it against most defenders. Look how fast his left hand pokes it away. Just a good play by a very good defender.

They would probably still be -3.5 against Detroit.

Stats wont say it but that was a bad game from Ivey and Cade. Ivey started hot and had 16 at the half, finished with 18. More TO"s(4) than assists(3). Just disappeared in the 2nd half. Cade was a bit better with only 1 TO but it came down the stretch with the game on the line. Didn't do much to take over either. Both of those guys need to go hard the last 8 minutes of a single digit game and neither one did.

Cade just did the same thing! Banchero was defended well and Cade came off Wagner who of course drilled the open three again.

Mistake by Duren there. Cade did an excellent job keeping Banchero in front of him and Duren still helped. Left Wagner wide open for the the three.
