  1. Cam Johnson 4/$108m.
  2. Pacers sign Bruce Brown for 2/$45m. That sounded awful at first but I guess the second year is a team option. Still a massive overpay.
  3. Wow. Fred VanVleet signs with Houston for 3/$130m. Strus to Cleveland for 4/$64m. I feel like picking up role players from Miami is not a good idea.
  4. JEIII mentioned Harris about a week ago. I figured he was just tossing names against the wall. This move is fine. Harris is a great shooter and at worst, a neutral defender, possibly even leaving to the plus side. Give us a expiring to move at the deadline or cap space next summer. Big free agents are not coming here. Unrestricted free agents are 6 or 7 years too old for this team and unrestricted are overpriced because their team can match. This move was fine.
  5. ESPN let Jeff Van Gundy and Jalen Rose go.
  6. James Harden Wants Trade To Clippers, 'Extremely Upset' By How Sixers Handled Situation Another great example of why you never take less money. Kobe was right. Get all you can and let the owner decide how to pay the other players. Don't be a chump and help out a billionaire.
  7. His role on a contender will be to shoot threes. In Utah he took about 1 mid-range shot per game. Contenders have stars to do that stuff, nobody is paying Bojan to do it. He did it here because we have no talent. His role will be identical to Robinson with a contender.
  8. Is there a market for Bogdanovich? This is a guy who was traded less than a year ago for absolute peanuts. Danny AInge is a good GM who is notorious for wringing maximum value from his assets. That means Bojan was shopped hard to every team in the league. Nobody was biting then at the low price, why would they now? People will say everyone wants shooting. Well, Duncan Robinson has been on the trade block for over a year and nobody has bitten. Miami banished him to the bench and rarely played him. Both of these guys are two of the best shooters in the entire league and also two of the worst defenders in the league. Although, I thought Robinson did a bit better in the playoffs when called on. If you are a contender can 20% of the guys on the floor play putrid defense? Even if they are great shooters I'm not sure they can. If I am a team looking at the Pistons roster, I want Burks over Bojan 10 times out of 10. Smaller contract, just as good of a shooter. Bojan is better on the ball but Burks is much better on defense.
  9. I guess he opted in to explore trade options.
  10. Harden picked up his option.
  11. Nice player and a hell of a defender. But I doubt they decline him unless they already had a deal set up.
  12. The basketball gods hate me. Latest rumor from Stein is Drummond will decline his player option and sign with Dallas.
  13. The Bagely trade is probably ok. The Bagely extension is inexcusable.
  14. Bulls Finding Limited Trade Market For Zach LaVine NBA, NBPA Distribute New 676-Page CBA 48 Hours Before Start Of Free Agency Nikola Vucevic, Bulls Agree To Three-Year, $60M Extension James Harden Opt-In-And-Trade Scenario Floated
  15. Marc Stein reporting that Indiana will offer Strus a 3/$48m deal.
  16. The option date was probably the 29th.
