Dallas had a night. They turned #10 and Bertans into #12, #24, and Richaun Holmes. They got a backup C in Holmes. Their probable starting C in Lively, who they probably would have picked anyway if they stayed at #10. And dumped that atrocious Bertans contract. $17M per for the next 3 years I believe, and he doesn't play. Trading him to OKC for no returning player created a $17M trade exception they can now use. It also dropped them out of the luxury tax. So instead of the much smaller taxpayer MLE they now have the full MLE to use.

I will be out tonight and going to miss the draft. So figured I would start this now to use. Easier to search this shorter thread 5 years from now for all the juicy hot takes. 8PM tonight and so far we still have the #5 pick.

Not really. Next years draft is supposed to be weaker and you figure with two lottery picks SA will improve a bit. I would rather have this years pick. Another option. SA is owed 7 future first round picks from other teams. Maybe one or two of those would be appealing. Except Detroit really needs the help now.

Man. Vecenie has GG going in the 2nd round. The guy has talent but man is he dumb/lazy. The ultimate ball stopper. But if he is there at 31 I would be tempted.

Vecenie has Detroit still taking Ausar but unfortunately says Whitmore is still a possibility. He has Leonard going 23rd which is criminal. He has OKC getting Bufkin at 12. Might as well just pencil him in first team rookie. Emoni Bates is not mocked in the top 60. Going the free agent route might work out better for him anyway.
