  1. I’m waiting for moderators/panel to rebut immediately when an outright lie is broadcast as a truth. Or at least follow up questions that indicate they were at least paying attention. Is that really too much to ask?
  2. lol. Mike Johnson is going to be at the courthouse for Trump today.…… …… because, that’s what’s deemed important to do for the country? What a joke.
  3. From your mouth to the ears of (hopefully) most Americans. I’m probably delusional.
  4. Well, Ronz, count me among the millions who would absolutely LOVE to see you stunned as all hell. 😁 Here’s hoping that the jury will be able to connect the dots that are very obviously there.
  5. I’m worried that because Alan Weisselberg won’t be called as a witness in this case (even if he’d get on the stand and lie), he’s probably the one needed to point to Trump and say “he knew this was how we were going to handle paying Stormy off, and re-paying Michael”. Might make it easier for even one juror to say “you haven’t absolutely tied Donald to the business fraud as the controlling player”. Worrisome.
  6. My God, if Trump didn’t run his whole life and his whole business like a mob boss, we wouldn’t be here. If the 130 K had just been paid to stormy, even if it was in and out of that account that Cohen set up, everything would’ve been fine and legal. The fact that they tried to hide it, the way they and report it as a business expense when it was nothing of the sort, this is where the criminal illegality is, and is very very evident. He’s guilty, and the cross-examining by the defense can hammer Michael Cohen, calling him “liar liar liar” for the next two days - it does not matter. Everything he’s said today as far as what he did for Trump and how these hush money payments were camouflaged as opposed to just an outright payment, is where this is going to be Trump’s downfall. He’s a criminal.
  7. … and, now, I know who it is. I guess I honestly never made note of his name before.
  8. I’ve also never heard of him
  9. Jaw -dropping disturbing and scary. I’m horrified because you can’t just dismiss this news out of hand . 🤬
  10. Oh, damn! 😂. That’s right. smh 🤦‍♀️ …. but I still did love Firesign Theater routines.
  11. I’m going to reference something that only very old people here (like me) might get the reference… The Firesign Theater comedy group had some great bailiff quotes that are coming back into my memory bank lately. I actually thought of one after the E. Jean Caroll case that was totally appropriate. That is all I’m sharing 🙂
  12. You would think so, but we are now 7+ years removed from normalcy, so I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.
  13. I’m actually glad to know that Barron will be acknowledged.
  14. Btw, let’s file this under the “of course we knew he wasn’t going to do that” category.. EDT Trump Appears To Be Ditching Son Barron’s Graduation For Minnesota Event
  15. FFS. Jesus
  16. omg. 😂. I laughed a bit at that. Wondering when my doctor is going to trip me up with that during my next visit. I am older than dirt. I have more senior moments than I’d like to admit. …. But my cat doesn’t seem to notice, so that’s good.
  17. Hopeful for a cease fire agreement. Hopeful that parents on both sides of this horror can put their children to bed with less fear. Hopeful that everyone can keep their eyes on what’s important.
  18. You honest to God cannot make this **** up. Holy crap.
  19. Pretty cool, Red. 👍😎
  20. This post is being dropped here, only because it just hit my happy spot when I saw it today. 🙂 Sometimes, tuning in to a baseball game, even if it’s just playing in the background while I’m doing stuff, brings me such a sense of calm. 🤷‍♀️ =============================== “[Baseball] breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall all alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti
  21. Really, the protests that morphed into the over-the-top pro-Hamas/anti-Jew “we’re taking over - bring me a pizza” certainly did not help the actual citizens of Gaza as our corner of the world stopped focusing on them to watch the spectacle. (I am going to assume that there were a portion of the initial protesters who were indeed trying to bring more attention to the deaths in Gaza.) And, Netanyahu has no actual interest from what I see in actually procuring any hostage release…. he’s shoring up his extreme right wing support in Israel with every bomb he drops.
