  1. Haven't been this excited for a Tigers game in a while. Hoping Elvin can somehow keep us in it!
  2. Considering folks online were speculating about the possibility of Meadows actually having to retire as little as a week ago, I feel like we are going to be on pins and needles for a little bit with this guy
  3. I saw the same. I hate to admit but it sounds ominous. Why would they pull him from a game they are trailing in?
  4. we'll be getting E-Rod back within the next 7-10 days edit: oops, I see I was beaten to this edit 2: shouldn't we also be getting Pineda back by late June/early July? Just gotta hang in there a little longer
  5. Well, Vest had Covid-19 and Pineda took a line drive off his finger so that's two that would point towards this being bad luck
  6. Skubal going tomorrow night to get us to 20-30
  7. How do you rationalize the first 2-3 weeks of the season when Javy started off genuinely hot and won us a couple of games with his bat? Not to mention the game he almost won in Minnesota with the 8th inning 3-run homer before Haase threw it into left field. You do acknowledge this part of the season actually happened, correct?
  8. my god, we really have to get willi out of the outfield
  9. How is the weather looking for gametime?
  10. If the little wire fence wasn't on that right field scoreboard wall he would have been knocked unconscious, yeah. The back of his head/neck bounced off that wire at a pretty good clip though.
  11. Was it as bad as I remember it? Am I reaching, perhaps?
  12. I wish I could remember which series, but it was a road series in the past 3 weeks. May have even been Houston. But it happened, and it was violent. Luckily he hit the wire fencing, but he hit it with his full force. The game went to commercial right after the play and of course the Bally Detroit broadcast didn't mention anything about it.
  13. I can't remember which game it was this season - I want to say it was in LA, or our first series in Minnesota - Meadows was tracking a ball backwards, misjudged where the wall was, and smashed into the right field fence netting to make the catch at a pretty high velocity. Put his hands on his knees after the play for a minute and was clearly shaken up. I can't help but suspect that this has something to do with it.
  14. Tigers also threw out a runner which honestly felt a little surreal
  15. What a game! Maybe best of the season? On the road in the Trop. The Schoop plays. The ninth inning 2-out Harold Bomb. Wow.
  16. Yeah I might take him out of the closer role right now for his own good, but think they would be foolish to give up altogether on Soto
  17. Shep is so scared of the train
