  1. Based on?? I know Stafford and the Rams loved what he brought to the room a few years ago. He’s a major reason they won that Super Bowl. I don’t think he would have been a fit in Detroit anyway, just curious why you said that.
  2. It would be great to add Boyd or Chark. Just keep in mind, egos are involved. They only have one football to spread around and the Lions have tons of weapons/and flexibility to get the best matchup. So a guy coming here on a short “prove it deal” might not be too thrilled to be put in an offense where they won’t get huge numbers. Also, don’t forget the potential growth we could see from JaMo, Gibbs, and Laporta. I know people have short memories but did they not watch the last month or so of the regular season and playoffs and witness Jamo slowly but surely turning into a weapon? I think they will add another WR. But if they didn’t, I’m 100% confident in the roster as it stands. DPJ and Khaliff are more than capable backups and can create some tough matchups with their speed alone. Idk much about Green but if Holmes took him, I believe in him.
  3. This would be a really stupid, short sighted move. It’s definitely something Bob Quinn would do to get some other former patriots in the building. Luckily for us Lions fans, we don’t have to worry about crap like that anymore.
  4. Holmes has earned my 100% complete trust. If he trades back, great. Trades up, great. He is playing chess, while most GM’s are playing checkers. Looking back at his previous drafts here, how can anyone (especially us tortured Lions fans) question the man? I wish Lions fans would sit back this weekend and enjoy the ride. Seeing as how this organization has never been in a position like this, you’d think they would believe in Holmes more than a hack like Mel Kiper. Sadly, no matter who they pick, no matter how much a draft class like last year should shut them up, a bunch of clowns will get online and complain. I know this will happen and yet it pisses me off anyway.
  5. I don’t know what they should do. I think the main thing to solve first, is the front office (See: The Detroit Lions). Until the entire culture changes, no roster move will matter. What’s happened to this organization is a perfect example of why I’ll never be on board for “tanking” for draft picks, when A) it isn’t guaranteed all that losing even gets you a good pick and B) you don’t have a front office you can trust to make the damn pick in the first place. I understand rosters have to be torn down at some point, but choosing to be a loser year after year eventually becomes a damaging mental hurdle for the young talent that’s been chosen to “turn things around”. The Pistons have been a dumpster fire of bad decisions for over 15 years now. You can’t just flip a switch and decide “we will try to win again”. They don’t know to win. The culture is garbage under Gores. He’s destroyed what was once my favorite team in all of sports. I used to watch every second of every game and now I can’t stomach more than a few minutes. Sorry for the long rant. But I guess my overall point is that this once proud organization is now so poorly managed that they make me want to vomit. Yay another mediocre lottery pick to be botched by Gores and whatever fool he overpays to come here. They have no hope. The fans have no reason to care or be excited that things could get better. Next year will be the same tired crap that’s been force fed to us for the better part of two decades now: “If the young guys develop..bla bla bla”.
