I mean, it is Forsyth County lol

I didn't care about Jussie Smollett at the time. I don't care about it now. And it certainly isn't a factor when evaluating the two options in front of me
-
I'm not lying when I say that I hadn't heard that name in years until today...
-
As far as what happened in her office, she will have to answer questions on how she ran her office. I don't doubt that everything that happened isn't perfect or above board. But this election is a binary choice between two people... I'm not voting for Jesus Christ, I'm voting for the best of the two options in front of me. And that is Kamala Harris if she is going against Donald Trump. As far as Jussie Smollett is concerned, I honestly don't give a ****... I wasn't a resident of Cook County or IL at the time and I have tried to avoid culture war **** like the plague. Because it's pointless and doesn't affect me
-
Harris would not have been my ideal choice, but I am open to the idea that she has learned things since 2020 and since ascending to the VP slot. And regarding the nominee process, I've been clear since as to my uneasiness with the decision by Biden to go for this since about October or November of last year. And the reality is that he let this go on too long, he just did. But I don't think it's Kamala Harris' fault how this has played out... It's a circumstance of Biden making the decision to go for this, having a disastrous debate and then subsequently dragging this decision out far too long to the point where, from a practical standpoint, she was the only realistic chance of making this a race. Kamala will have to prove it in these coming weeks as to whether she is worthy. I just don't think it is fair to hold it against her how she ended up in this spot, I just don't.
-
Interesting, so after new information came to light, then US Senator Harris changed her mind? Definitely not a quality we want in leaders... I'd rather they just double down over and over again regardless of whatever additional info arises like a certain GOP candidate has tended to do /s
-
Kamala Harris will have to answer for her record as it pertains to her time as AG. I have no doubt that Trump's campaign will make sure of it. But the OP was discussing Donald Trump. And your response seems... rather evasive as to his point.
-
"When he was a civilian..." Talk about a distinction that is completely irrelevant to his character

I really don't understand why people who work in this business are surprised by the reaction to JD Vance's past comments. And to Liam Donovan's point, running in Ohio is a much different animal than running nationwide. The body of work in Ohio (running as poorly as he did in 2022) foreshadowed all of this... and even with all of that, there seemed to be no basic vetting at all that took place.
-
JD Vance literally called Donald Trump Hitler, yet finds himself on the ticket as we speak. In that context, color me skeptical than anyone will care about anything relating to Jussie Smollett in YOOL 2024
-
Walz' comment at the end of this clip about Trump never laughing is so spot-on... He never laughs. And he always seems so angry and dour all the time
-
Really all I am asking is that he is treated to the same standard that any other POTUS candidate or POTUS would be if they were in this situation. And based on history, it's pretty clearly not happening. So no, I don't think we agree here
-
I think I've been pretty clear as to what my expectations are. If you cannot comprehend that, its on you
-
He should be asked about this at a debate as well...
-
They should also follow up when he inevitably doesn't answer or talks incomprehensibly, instead of just moving on.
-
Oh, so the polls are fake again now that Kamala has pulled close to even in the swing states? And because crowd sizes?
-
I believe that the American public deserves to know the *medical* information related to his visit. And that we should expect candidates running for office to release that information in the event that something like this happened. I'm not going to rehash this.... the precedent in past cases (ie. Reagan, Ford, etc.) isn't being met.
-
Not sure why that matters at all... the point is if he can't meet the expectations that come with the circumstances, you shouldn't be surprised if people hold that against him.
-
He's not required to, but he is running for the highest office in the land and to be the most powerful person on earth. Given the circumstances, along with his age and his general untrustworthiness, I think it's fair that people expect a lot more information than what he has released to date
-
Ehh, Donald Trump could release information related to his medical treatment or the doctors to speak to it today if he wanted to.
-
It's amazing... He's a 78 year old man running (once again) to be the most powerful man in the world. And yet, we continue to infantilize him, act as if he has no agency or control over anything. I expect more from my five year old than what many expect from this guy apparently
-
Maybe Former President Trump could dispel some of those rumors by releasing some of the details relating to his visit to the hospital? Or does he not have any agency here?
-
Last I checked, the FBI aren't in the medical field. That buck stops with the candidate who received medical treatment. I wasn't alive for Reagan's assassination attempt, but from reading about it and family who were alive at the time discussing it, he was transparent. We heard from the docs, we knew the details straight from them in a way that we just haven't here. You can go ahead and think it's nothing, fall back on "I saw what I saw on the video", but if someone wants this particular job, I expect a lot more.
-
NBD, he's just trolling
-
In the interest of transparency, should Trump release more information related to his hospitalization for what took place in Butler? And would you agree that it isn't, in fact, conspiratorial to expect more medical transparency regarding an assassination attempt on a political figure widely believed to be the front runner to become President?
