  1. Put another way, if he isn't providing details on this, what happens three years into his term of he suffers some medical issue? Do we think he's going to be straight with us?
  2. I don't know that anything would change. That's not the point, though... We are entrusting this man, should he be elected again, to this position; to be the most powerful person on the planet. And to the extent that the lack of details is driven by him personally (and would it be surprising if it was, frankly?), we can infer what to expect should become President. Especially, as we are currently experiencing, as he proceeds from his late 70s into his early 80s.
  3. It's really simple for me: the front runner for this election, ie. someone who could potentially become the most powerful person in the world, was shot in the ear... And we never once heard from the doctors. We didn't get many details at all, frankly... sure, I believe what my eyes saw, but I also believed what my eyes saw in Las Vegas in 2017, and yet the lack of transparency there fueled many conspiracies. Why shouldn't I want to know the precise details of what happened, similar to Reagan or Ford of Kennedy? It's bizarre how people just want to shut down this conversation
  4. It did happen. I saw it with my own eyes, FFS. But if anybody suggests there's been a lack of transparency regarding the details of the actual impact on Trump, does that make them a looney conspiracy theorist in your eyes? Should be an easy question to answer
  5. Two weeks ago, Tigeraholic and I had a pretty substantive conversation about the lack of civility in politics these days. On this very thread. Seema like that conversation went inert since that time. It's really a shame.
  6. And if anybody suggests there's been a lack of transparency regarding the details of the actual impact on Trump, does that make them a looney conspiracy theorist in your eyes?
  7. The shifts in West Michigan loom large too... Kent is basically blue at this point, and Ottawa seems to shift left every single election. It's honestly amazing that they charge $35 dollars a month for this analysis and can't be bothered to acknowledge Grand Rapids' existence
  8. Do experts like this realize that the Blue Wall states all have a lot of suburbs and suburban women in them? I swear, whenever Cook Political Report talks about MI, they treat the entire state like it's Tuscola County + Detroit + Dearborn, and ignore everything else lol
  9. I honestly don't care one way or another on it... I do think we probably should have heard more from the doctors at the time he was hospitalized though. The lack of transparency is notable IMO
  10. Would you want to sit next to Donald Trump at a restaurant?
  11. That sounds more like a "you" problem...
  12. Trigger warning...
  13. If they are entertainers, why is their opinion of value?
  14. In general, this era has made me very skeptical of people who mix entertainment and political opinion... Like, I'm just not sure what makes these people (like Mahar, Jon Stewart, Rogan, etc.) so special that their opinion on anything matters more than the random drunk at the end of the bar.
  15. Why should I care what a coastal elitist like Bill Mahar thinks about anything?
  16. Oh sure, that's probably right. The optics are still terrible and he deserves every bit of judgment he gets out of it. Because if the shoe were on the other foot, he'd be doing it too. (And I think 1776 knows that)
  17. I don't know if he translates to MI/WI or other states, but Pennsylvania is the most important state on the map in this election because it has the most EC votes and it opens up more pathways to a win. The polling yesterday showing a very tight race in GA is a good example of how important PA is... with both of those states combined, only one other state (aside from Nevada) would clinch it.
  18. I want to focus on Minnesota for a second... Two polls today: This is a state that, as recently as this week, Trump staffers were talking up opening offices and playing for. And polling wise, it has now reverted to something really similar to what it was four years ago. The Pennsylvania poll is more important, especially knowing that Josh Shapiro is potentially the front runner for the VP nomination... But I do think what we have learned this week is that the battlefield is what we thought it would be: PA, MI, WI, NV, AZ, GA NC, NE-02. And all the talk about MN, VA or even NJ and NY is all BS
  19. It's a really good point, as terrible and pathetic as it is, how receptive Bibi is to a deal may be contingent on polling is going forward in this election.
  20. In terms of a debate, its all about striking the right balance. She needs to hold his feet to the fire, but to my comment earlier today, she has to project the happy warrior and she has to put forward her own path forward. I'm not saying it will be easy, and she has landmines of her own that she will have to disarm along the way... But the early returns suggest that she's striking the right balance and understands the assignment. That's all I can ask for as someone who supports her candidacy
  21. The big complication is the VP pick and the DNC, which will dominate the balance of August... Just tons of earned media exposure that will likely expose his supporters to her one way or another. Obviously convention bumps are often ephemeral, but if you squint, you can see a world where, by the last week of August, his standing starts to look rather shaky and where he will need the debate. Not unlike where Biden was when his team agreed to the June debate
  22. She's, umm, married to a Jewish guy. And has Jewish stepkids...
  23. Does this guy even have a spiritual life?
  24. There may end up being one, but not clear why he pulled out as of this one. His rationale doesn't make a whole lot of sense Hence why conclusions are being drawn.
