    Man, injuries can kill a season. Barnes out for "a significant amount of time" Branch is in the concussion protocol. But everyone else day to day? Even LaPorta?

    Too many rules give offenses unfair advantages. The NFL wants high scoring games. And then they miss obvious calls, like last night, that impact the final score. KC would have lost if there was a referee who called pass interference properly. It makes a joke out of the NFL. Especially with all the gambling advertisements.

    Yeah, the Rays are 7-3 in their last 10. They're playing loose, no pressure. Playing spoiler. But we have Skubal going Tuesday. Win 2 out of 3 so fans don't panic...😆

    I doubt LaPorta has a broken ankle. They never would have allowed him back in the game 2 or 3 times before finally pulling him. With that being said, sprains can take a while to heal. Especially high ankle sprains. Several weeks. And hopefully Branch is OK, they said he left with a neck issue...and McNeil was also injured. Looks like that early bye week comes at a good time...

    I agree with you about the expanded playoffs. In the past, they went into November. Baseball is a warm summer game, not a wind-chill game. The season should be over in mid-October, at the latest. And these exciting divisional and wild card races are artifical excitment. But still fun when it's OUR team...lol

    Finishing the season with an 8 game winning streak would have up rooting for the Twins over Baltimore in the 3 game series they have. But we may need Baltimore to win if the Twins sweep Miami. 3 against Tampa and 3 against the WSox.

    I agree. It's just, if it is sportswriters who vote, they can be fickle idiots. Look at Lou Whitaker. He should have been in at the same time as Tram.

    Milwaukee came back from 8 runs down today. Their biggest comeback in 20 years.

    I don't know. Sportswiters vote for it? If so, many have memories of the cheating scandal. It would be an injustice if he doesn't win it though, IMO.

    True. Even though, in 2006, many people were pretty excited about some of the young talent coming out of ST. Zumaya, Verlander and Granderson all showed the promise of a fun summer. And I still remember the Leyland for President signs...lol

    There's videos of Trump running in 2020 where he says nobody will be allowed to celebrate Christmas ever again. Then different videos where he says the same things about every other major holiday. And his base ate it up and spread it all around to their Facebook friends. It's why he loves the uneducated. It's easier to fool a fool.

    Do like football and share everything? A lot of people don't realize they share everything. I don't know what the answer is, just that signing 1 or 2 players in a small market can handcuff a team for years. I'm amazed some teams haven't folded. Switch to 3 team divisions with top 2 teams making the playoffs...lol

    True. And sometimes even big markets teams lose plsyers....Ohtani and the Angels.

    Let me know how you feel when Skubal signs a 300 million, 10 year contract and Greene splits too. Losing players to free spending teams sucks. I guess we can just keep trading guys and play prospects.
