I remembered at the last minute. The Tigers either need to be up by several runs late to avoid another BP meltdown or a Skubal rare complete game. Score 6 runs and shut these idiots out.
Hinch lost that game of chess. He burned thru his better relievers and Cleveland saved theirs until they took a lead. It won the game for them. I guess we'll see if Skubal can be our stopper...
He has to go thru an entire spring training amount of rehab. Asking him to come in and hit won't cut it. His defense would probably play right away but we need him comfortable and confident at the plate.
All that losing to get these players? And then trade them for a guy who is one injury away from being out of baseball? I wouldn't do it and thankfully, neither would Scott Harris. 😆
JV wouldn't have been scheduled to pitch at Comerica in the upcoming series against the Giants. But now he's on the IL, so he won't be pitching for sure.
That was/is my guess too. With W. Perez to stay in Toledo. Hinch loves moving guys around and Vierling really adds to his moves. Javy to 3rd base and at SS with tough lefties on the mound.
