I'm not sure how many at bats he's even gotten against LH arms. It's starting to look like Harris won't trade any productive and under team control players. Just the opposite, he has signed players just to trade them for more prospects. As long as Carpenter keeps producing, even only as a lefty, he'll have a roster spot on the Tigers. Until....he gets too expensive.

I agree. The goal going into last season was to try to keep him healthy for the entire season. He mostly made it, I think he had one stint on the injury list?

The bone, yeah. But after a long layoff, I would worry about a soft tissue injury. He, and the Lions, need to be smart and think longterm.

There was an article I read today about Briceno winning the triple crown in winter ball. They said it had never been done. He may be an important piece of the future. And I agree that Harris shouldn't trade away the upcoming young talent. Young players are less expensive and are under team control for longer. It's good to have established and experienced players but not at the cost of trading away future quality players

That 5 game stretch earlier in the season, with 4 out of 5 on the road was when I thought we would lose a couple. We went 5-0. I'm confident we'll win 3 our of 4 to finish the regular season.
