Other teams know we're trying to "work the strike zone." So they pound the strike zone and get ahead. The hitting stats would show how much worse a hitter is when behind in the count. I think we have 2 batting coaches? They're not doing a very good job if the entire line-up can't hit. Canha alone has cost us at least 2 games hitting in the 2 hole. A double play waiting to happen.

I agree. I was doing some work with one ear on the TV. Who the F cares when Craig got drafted? They ignore the game, don't call play by play and giggle like idiots. Benetenddi (or whatever his name is) may be good but get those jocks outta the booth!

I don't know. I love the defense Meadows brings but he has to hit. His speed on the bases is exciting...when he gets on base..

How can so many be slumping at the same time? Is it the coaching or a combination of players who aren't very good being taught by bad coaches?

Hitting 2nd I think? Either way, he's a horrible situational hitter. Cost us the extra inning game against the Twins, woulda cost us yesterday if Minny handled his DP grounder that went for a 2 run double. And then today, rolling over grounders to the left side of the IF. Rally killers.

Yeah, at the end of the season, they only count the victories, not how they were won. We do need to clean up our at bat approach though. Can't count on getting this lucky too many times. Our pitching and defense looks pretty good, for the most part.

Who's angry? I'm just not that impressed at our offense. We held them with our pitching which allowed us to squeak out a win.

Yeah, Tork, a dead pull hitter just blooping a hit to RF. It was actually a very good piece of hitting. Well done. But the Twins defense handed us the game, Canha's 2 run hit was a missed DP.
