    That's why I could see Skubal being dealt this winter. I don't want him to be dealt but his stock would be higher with 2 years of control and while he's healthy. Especially with the Tigers history of developing young pitchers and the reclamation of veteran pitchers. If we can get some "can't miss" prospects for him....

    Remember about 3 or 4 weeks ago when Parker Meadows got hot (longer?) and we said he couldn't possibly keep putting up those numbers? Well, he is. Against both LH and RH pitchers.

    May be the reason for their record. They didn't seem to put up much of a fight. Poor pitching, poor defense and no threats at the plate. In April. May and June, I said the Tigers will get shut out after scoring so many runs but these hitters are all hitting at once, the same as they were all slumping at the same time early in the year. Remarkable.

    The Rams had a pretty good game plan, mostly quick passes. Short but counting on yards after catch. It almost beat us with our missed tackles. I get the feeling Campbell decided to just play to our strength in OT. Just run the ball down their throat. He knows the strength of his team is the OL.

    I just saw the score of the Angels beating the Twins last night. The Tigers are 3 games out of the final wild card spot. Meaningful games in September!

    Yeah, college rules are too much like hockey shootouts, like unnatural. I really don't like either. Chris has some good ideas, my only request is a way to eliminate the possibility of ever having a tie. There's nothing I dislike more than NFL ties.

    The price per season may not be too much for us but the number of seasons he may want would be too much for our FO. The price for pitchers is pretty insane and we do have quite a few price controlled arms in house options. I would like to see at least one SP and maybe 2 BP arms?

    I don't think they "lost" him. It was like a decision to move on from him, knowing they were targeting Montgomery. The same as moving on from Swift, who's a good runner when he's healthy. He's just had too many injuries...
