  1. It was nice to hear him say that the 1987 1-0 late season victory was the highlight of his storied career.
  2. They have to pay Schoop so he stays no matter what.
  3. OMG...fireworks, really!! The horror...the humanity....🤣🤣 Al long as he, along of hundreds of NFL players, are not harmed blowing them up....who cares? It's a nothing-burger.
  4. And people want to rush even more minor leaguers up here. We finished the rebuild last season and then fired our GM. Now it's time for our new GM to rebuild. Another 3 to 6 years of losing....
  5. I think Keith may force them to call him up. If he tears up AAA...bring him up, see what you got.
  6. Baddoo or Marisnick? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Marisnick sticks...
  7. Marisnick has a history with Hinch. Also a RH bat who can play excellent defense. Platoon with Baddoo for LF?
  8. Framing pitches will be a lost art if they go to computerized ball/strike calls.
  9. Yeah, I was just talking about having 5 SP. Olson would be amongst the five. Lol
  10. Have to keep starting him, somewhere. With our SP injury history, he may be back. Or after the trade deadline. Edit; isn't he now our #5 SP?
  11. We need roster spots for Skubal, Rodriguez, Vest, Greene and Baddoo. Shreve hasn't really Impressed me this season. The having to face 3 hitter rule really hurts his effectiveness. Could he be moved or sent down?
  12. My neighbor is cute. She knows I like the Tigers and said to me "The Tigers sure scored a lot of home runs today, didn't they?". 😅
  13. I seem to recall that. So every SP, plus a couple from Toledo, has been injured. 2022 all over again.
  14. If it weren't for the homers...we would be getting shut out. Just sayin'...
  15. It increases Lorenzen's trade value. Kinda ironic that he's the only Tiger SP who hasn't been injured. Or....was he?
  16. Way to ruin a rally Bàez. We coulda scored 5 runs!
  17. Doesn't really answer the question. Once Chafin opted out, did Detroit make him an offer?
  18. It's been almost 2 full seasons of lack of production. But yeah, he's a goner in a few weeks. OK.
  19. Was Chafin even offered a fair contract in Detroit? Fulmer and Chafin were mostly effective last season and there's only one reason they weren't kept around...money. Having a low payroll and maximizing profit is the goal of any business. Let's see what happens this off-season when a few contracts come off the books.
  20. Fulmer...soon to be a FA...traded. Soto...up for arbitration...traded Candelario..up for arbitration..released. Chafin...FA...unsigned And there are several other examples. So yeah, there's a track record of not paying players and either letting them walk or trading them. But a player under contract? Harris will keep them. So Schoop will be here all season unless some team is really hard up for a 2nd baseman. His trade value is as close to zero as it gets.
  21. Schoop had a guaranteed contract. Tigers aren't cutting anyone they have to pay or paying anyone to stay.
