    I remember Leyland saying once that if you keep marching pitchers out there, eventually one will have an off-day and give up multiple runs. He was/is correct.

    Yeah, I would hope it's just young arms pitching at max effort on every pitch. Well be getting Turnbull back next season and the only good thing about the SP injuries, it gave us the chance to find a deeper pool of talent than I thought they even had. With the exception of Hill...he's just a much too young kid.

    Pitching wasn't their problem this season, it was the entire line-up slumping. And why in the world would we possibly want to get another outfielder? We already need to clear out several from the roster. We have Carpenter coming in too. Just a glut of underperforming or unproven outfielders already.

    Getting ris of Grossman and Hill is addition by subtraction. We still have about 7 outfielders or so? Prolly 5 of them could go, too. But I liked keeping the others arms. Jimenez looks like he finally figured it out and Soto is still under team control for a few years. These guys may have more value in the winter and could be moved then.

    Every day is a bullpen game with this team. Many times, they hold the lead. But mostly, there's no lead to hold. Have the Tigers ever had a season without a single complete game?

    Tigers cut s catcher last year who could hit a bit, Ramos. I hope they cut ties with Barnhart. His defense doesn't justify the black hole he is in the line-up.

    Cameron, Hill, Reyes, Greene, Grossman, Meadows and Baddoo. At least 2, maybe 3, need to go. Or platoon. Baddoo, Greene and Meadows are all LH hitters.

    But he can't come up and sit. He needs to play. And the Tigers have decisions to make about how many outfielders they can carry. 5? IDK.

    A new GM would drop Tork like a bad habit. The worst hitter in all of MLB. Yeah, Toledo for now. Maybe next year he can hit .200? Or are we supposed to keep carrying him? He wouldn't be the 1st college slugger to wash out.

    Release Grossman and send Tork to Toledo. Maybe he can be the next Hessman, a career home run hitter in AAA. Pretty useless in 2022, so far.

    A dropped routine fly ball cost us the game. Grossman is useless, DFA him already. We have about 4 other outfielders.
