    Horrible defense? Sure, give them ball first. But wait...we get it 1st in the 2nd half. Losing 28-0...but we get the ball. The only teams who should ever defer are the ones with the better defenses. Campbell will never learn this. Stubborn, over and over.

    I bet a friend lunch last year that we would finish closer to 1st place than last place. I lost. Tigers will finish closer to 60 wins than 80 this season.

    No, I see a Detroit win this week. And a Green Bay win. That gets next week's game flexed to a night game, winner goes to the playoffs. This is the game where we get our hearts broken. But meaningful games this late in the season? I'll take it....

    We played both the Bills and the Eagles and we were a play or 2 away from winning either game. After this years draft, I expect them to be even better. Maybe winning some of those close games. Whether we admit it or not, this team is trending in the right direction. We should contend for the division next season.

    Yeah, I was being sarcastic. Carr is an interesting quarterback, there were times he looked pretty good. If the Lions could get a reliable running game going, we could make an average QB look good. Especially with our WR depth.

    I would trade Goff for Derek Carr and the Raiders 1st round pick.

    If the NFL doctors have documented proof the player shouldn't play and the player insists on playing, he should have to sign a waiver warning him of the consequences. And the NFL wouldn't be liable for future damages.

    Perfectly said. And with Detroit being so close to being a serious contender, it may be an appealing place for a FA to come to. We may be able to draft for depth instead of need. I guess it depends on which free agents we sign.

    Agreed. Another win and they go 8-9. If I were offered that before the season, I woulda took it. This is the most optimistic I've been about their future in years.

    He's just not very good. Should have known. At OSU, they always played patsies in non-conference games. And they always had a great pass rush, never exposing him to wide receivers finishing their routes. Very over-rated player.

    What did they win, 3 in a row on the road? That's really hard to do in the NFL. Crowd next week at home is still going to be crazy.

    Glad we get the ball 1st in the 2nd half. Down 24-7 and after giving up an opening drive TD. Yeah, I'll never agree with that coaching decision.

    Campbell says he messed up by going for the 50+ yard FG late in the game. Punting may been our only chance to win, but that's Monday morning quarterbacking. My choice would have been to go for a first down.

    Part of me wants us to face the Vikings. But I also worry they may want revenge. But of all the teams playing in week one, they may be the easiest to beat. But winning in Carolina would have Ford Field rocking against the Bears.

    I would be surprised if the Rams win another game. At home against Denver then finish the season on the road, at the Chargers and then at Seattle. Our pick from them might be in the top three? The bad part is, we may need to root for them to beat Seattle.
